Clickbank Analytics....something fishy!

I promote quite a few products on Clickbank, and was wondering something...

Is it just me, or are the analytics in CB kinda fishy? I consistently get Order Form Impression Counts, (like everyday) but no sales. I mean, really....why would someone place an order, but not buy? Is it just that the potential customer is easily distracted, or is something up with CB's analytics?

I'd appreciate any light you guys can shed on this issue.

The price is usually quote in US dollars on the sales page. Perhaps some people click through and see the price in local currency and change their minds.

Some people probably just click the order button to see what happens when they haven't fully committed to buying yet.

I know that with some products; mostly membership products; I'll click the order button if I can't tell WHO the processor is because I'd rather participate in memberships that use PayPal than put something on my CC.

If I see CB; I'll back out.

Makes sense, but does anyone else open up their CB account and see this?

sometimes sales pages take you through a few pop-ups then drop you on the order page. maybe a few products you premote use this system.

There are several issues about the order form submit count. Some cards can not get processed sometimes and this might be an issue for a lost sale that hurts all of us as affiliates.

Another possibility (and I do this sometimes) is if the person is interested in your product, but can't find the price on the page easily enough, they'll just click on the Order link to see what the price is.

With a small number of people using forced continuity in a shadey kind of way, clicking on the order link generally shows you exactly what you'll be paying, without having to look through any fine print or read between the lines.

Most vendors are good, but there are ones out there that hide or brush over things like recurring payments. Viewing the actual order page generally sets things straight.
