Propsper 202 Tracking

Morning all - Quick Question

I'd like to track all my traffic sources and the conversion rate of each independently. In fact I'd like to break it down further than this to see which individual articles (for instance) convert best.

I know that I'm going to need to use subids and am thinking of hosting prosper 202 to get this data.

The only thing stopping me at the moment is that the Prosper 202 package seems to be entirely geared towards PPC traffic and I'd like to track all traffic (including traffic from listings in the SERPs and from my articles) - I haven't been able to find anything on their site talking about free traffic tracking.

Logic suggests it would be perfectly capable of doing this, although having seen screenshots of the GUI, it looks like I may have to bodge false ads to generate my tracking links which isn't ideal.

So my question is - does anybody use Prosper 202 to track all their traffic sources (free and paid) and how have they found it?

Cheers in advance,
Paul

prosper 202 is for tracking your paid advertising. As far as I know you won't be able to track anyone who doesn't use the special tracking link to access your site.

I don't think this is possible with any software.

You would need to send each article to a different website which would be quite difficult for a good writer. Also in that case you could just use tracking id's from each website.

It's definitely possible. We just need to know some more details about what you're trying to track the conversions on.

Do you own the property that is converting and have control over placing code on that property? Are all your articles that you're wanting to track pointing to the same site or same product on that site?

Digital this isn't true - I know it's absolutely possible with Subids - I just need to know if Prosper202 manages free traffic sources...

Use your website logs to track sales by referrer. You can match IP in log with IP from sale.

Or use google analytics and setup a goal. That way you can track the goal by all referrers
This is a management nightmare - again sub ID's does this automatically - so I need a piece of software that manages this for me.

      Thanks for your help entrepenerd.

I have complete control over landing pages and conversion pages so I can put tracking pixels at any point in the profit funnel.

Have you experience with Prosper 202?

EDIT: Forgot to answer entreprenerd's second question -

All articles are pointing to the same landing page, although I will possibly set up a PHP split testing script on the landing page in the near future.

I'm tracking squeeze page conversions BTW.

      Cheers in advance
