Is it really necessary to get your name out

Hey warriors, I have been thinking from quite some time to get myself to start selling ebooks in some niches and micro niches, but the only thing that's holding me back is thinking how will I promote my ebooks.

I have seen many marketers use blogs to get the word out and build list, while I know its a good thing to do, but good blogs need regular attention and long time to build credibility ( only thing I would ever love to blog about is IM).

Getting targeted traffic has always been my weakest skill. So even though I want to launch my ebooks idea of blogging and all just paralyze me.

Another question that i often ask myself is how do I get quality content to create a ebook ( in a niche).

Since it's impossible to be expert in more than 2 or 3 niches.

Not sure what to do? Will be nice to see some experts jump in

As for content for ebooks, if you want to do an ebook in a niche that you aren't actually an expert in, become an expert. All it takes is research. Don't copy someone else's work, but research and then put together your own product.

There are many ways to get the traffic. PPC, social bookmarking, SEO, article marketing, etc.

If you want to get your name out and build a reputation, but at the same time, you don't want to start your own blog, then what you need to do is start writing guest posts.

By writing guest posts, say 1 a week, you are building your credibility amongst the blogging communities and getting your name out there. After a few guest posts, people will begin to see you as an authority in IM, judging that you write good ones, and they will trust that your ebook is a good one, based on what they read from your guest posts. In result, they'll buy your ebook.

That process will take about a month or two, but it doesn't require much work or attention haha

Below are a few sites that accept guest posts
      Famousbloggers.com
      Robswebtips.com
      Blogussion.com
      Technshare.com
      AffiliateGroundz.com (my site)

You can find outsourcers to write quality content either on WF, Elance, Odesk, etc.

Who says you can't be an expert in 2 or 3 niche markets?

If they are relevant, then it can even be better for you.

Example: You are already an expert in building chicken coops, and your other niches are feeding barn animals, and solar energy to save money on your farm.

    See that? They are related.

As far as building a list, I'd recommend building a fantastic VIDEO sales page using something like:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...n-service.html

Then advertising via PPV (pay per view), then market your ebook to the relevant niche market from there, etc.

Warriors, there are three niches in which I consider myself a fairly knowledgeable person
    1.) Dating advice
2.) Acne ( I searched out of desperation, though I have not cured it fully till now because of my bad eating habits)
    3.) IM

The thing is these are the three mainstream, So I am planning to get in sub niches, but the only problem I am having is how do I get partners( affiliates) since I am starting from scratch ( also I am on a low budget).
If I have to keep on writing dozens of articles myself, then it doesn't make any sense why should I bother being a vendor?
I could make money by sending traffic through articles all while being an affiliate.

Warriors my main concern here is do I need to get a blog out and establish myself in the market or can I do that by selling cheap products and then upselling.

A blog isn't the only way to get the word out. You could also find relevant forums to post in, or try some article marketing. And, the guest blogging was also a great idea. While those options also need to be done regularly to see results, they also let you go at your own speed, rather than a blog which absolutely has to be fresh and updated constantly.

Plus, a blog is only a good way to promote yourself if you already have good traffic. If you don't, who's going to read it? You probably need to start by heading off-site and promoting yourself, rather than starting a blog.

As far as creating the ebook, you have 2 options - researching and writing yourself, or hiring someone to do it for you. There's no reason that you cannot be an expert in several niches; it just takes dedication and research.
