What do you put your money in..Info products or physical products

As a newbie who is trying to educate him self on the in's and outs of the Im road, I am trying to pick between Info products or physical ones to promote.
Now I've looked at the two most popular or should I say what I gather to be the most popular sites, after reading threads on this forum , and thats :

Clickbank & Amazon.

The obvious thing that struck me was the amount of commision paid out, Big Big differance! For what I would guess to be almost the same amount of work BUT and here it comes.... Are info products or that area now saturated with "gurus" making 95% of the money, and millions of newbies or failed marketers trying to get their hands on the other 5%.... If you Know what I mean!!

Soooo for all you experianced marketeers out there, if you were a newbie just trying to make a bit of extra cash, lets say $100 - $200 per week, what would you do and WHO'S course or system would you follow (not having one of your own and knowing nothing to start with)

Looking forward to reading what you all have to say on this subject, although it is probably not a new question and one that gets asked on a regular basis.

Cheers Mick.

Some people will tell you to choose a niche that you know something about and others will tell something else.

The fact is, you need to do your research. Find keyword phrases that have some search volume and not much competition. Gather info on the niche/product. Learn how, where and when to market the product. Lots of info to know before you put it out on the web.

Here is a good place to find out how to do some of the things you need in order to be successful. Just be careful and don't get distracted with all the "shiny things" that pop into your inbox everyday.

Take action and try not to get overwhelmed with all the information out there.
