How to Make Money Online in the Make Money Online Niche without Actually Having Made Money Online

A lot of people that want to make money online want to start by getting into the make money online niche.

Which is, of course, counter-intuitive, and most advise against it.

However, it can be done.

First, let's get the wrong way of doing it out of the way. The wrong way is by trying to mislead others, like yourself, who want to make money online. Would you want to buy a product on making money online from someone who hasn't made any? Sometimes, it turns into a virtual pyramid scheme where people try selling MMO products to other people just like them who haven't made money online but want to. They, in turn, sell MMO products to others in the same boat. What you end up with is a bunch of people selling MMO products who don't really know how to make money online.

And people sometimes wonder why others think Internet marketing is a scam.

So, don't try to mislead customers. It will not turn out well for you. Don't say "This is how I got rich online!" if you really haven't.

So, what is the right way to do it? Well, there are several.

Services

If you can proofread, write, research, make videos, build websites, do voiceovers, etc., then you have a service you could offer to others in the MMO niche.

Tools

If you can build software applications or web scripts that would be useful to those in the MMO niche, you can build and sell those.

Learn as You Go

This one takes more time, but can earn you a loyal following. You can start a blog on MMO. You don't offer your advice, because you don't have that expertise yet. But, you can buy an MMO product, and you can write about your experiences with it. If something promises you can make $1000 in 7 days, you can try it out and write about your progress over those 7 days. If it works, you can report the positive results and encourage people to buy it through your affiliate link. If it doesn't work, you can report your results and suggest people not buy it. (And you could still use an affiliate link so that, if they don't believe you, you can still make money from it. Sneaky, I know.)

Research

If you're knowledgeable about how to do research (hint: rewriting a PLR article is not research), you can share information about MMO by interviewing and studying people who are experts. "This is how so-and-so makes $500 a day" is just as valid as "This is how I make $500 a day" so long as it's true. The buyer wants to know how to make $500 a day online; he doesn't care whether you obtained that information for him through experience or research, just so long as it's truthful. So, even if you've never made a dime online, you can still offer good, truthful information on the topic.

Maybe others will add their suggestions to this thread.

The bottom line is that it is one of mindset. You can enter any niche you want, so long as you are not misleading people. You don't have to be an expert in a niche to sell stuff; just don't present yourself as an expert if you're not. And, if you're not, there are ways around it that don't involve deception.
