Does anyone know what this phone number verification thing is all about when signing up? I signed up but didn't do the phone number thing.. kinda weary of giving out my info like that..

    Then people will probably be weary of you.

    It's hard to do business with people who hide behind the computer in a virtual hideout.

    The phone verification just verifies that you are a real human being with an actual verifiable phone number. (Something con artists don't usually have or want to give out).

    You're afraid of a phone call?

    I'm afraid of doing business with people who won't verify their phone numbers. As far as I know, phone numbers aren't really sensitive information. But don't do it if you don't want to. It goes into your trust rating at Flippa and few trust sellers without a decent trust rating.

    Their trust rating is bogus enough with the addition of Social networks raising your trust rating, but phones are real and if it keeps a couple of scam artists from using the site, good.

    It is reliable. I verified last month. A telesecreter will say you 4 digit code then you enter it. Also your trust point is important for buying and selling. Do it!
