Hey Guys

I just read a thread here about PayPal making changes to their subscription system and that it was causing problems for some vendors.

Today I noticed their login process now includes captcha.

So it looks like they're making some changes to various parts of their system, and while this is likely to be good in the long run, it's worth keeping an eye on your processes to make sure they keep working through the updates.

It wouldn't be the first time that teething troubles stopped things working for a while.

Cheers,

Neil

hmm... the captcha thing must be isolated to the UK; 'cause I don't see it here in the States.

Security wise it would be great but I guess vendors must revisit their systems as this might cause a lot of problems if the system is incompatible with the changes.

If it's a centralized system ecommerce system, then changes might not be that hectic, but imagine if it's a decentralized one like some of the viral scripts....then it would be a big headache especially if there's dozens of products then changes and testing have to be made individually...

I just logged into two accounts and no captcha so that may be for certain areas, some account types or whatever.

Interestingly, I'm not being asked to enter the captcha code now.

Maybe they were testing it earlier today.

Anyway, my original point still applies.

        Cheers,
