How To Become Clickbank Super Affiliate!

Hi Guys!

We all know that as an affiliate marketer clickbank is one of the most used source of products with thousands of products and affiliates selling products.

My questions are?

1-Why do people still struggle to make their first sale?

2 -What is your best advice to become a successfull affiliate using clickbank?

Thanks Guys!

Now there's an open ended question :-)

I've made my money with CPA lead gen, ie low barrier offers with high conversion rates.
When playing around with Clickbank products I found I made the mistake of assuming the same low barrier and high conversion, forgetting that for me to receive a commission, people would have to pull out their credit card and often spend anything from $20 and upwards.

To get conversions, you can't just direct link to clickbank offer and hope for a brilliant sales letter that will convert.

Tip: find a clickbank product you are interested in promoting, copy the hoplink into google and see which sites promote the product. Most people who know what they are doing will redirect to the hoplink so you might not see the big players come up in the search results, however you should be able to get an idea of the type of sites that promote the offer. And I bet you'll find that a lot of the sites have substantial content and incentives to get you signed up to their email lists...

Thanks for your reply. Basically what has to be done is to go to review sites of a specific product and do the same things they are doing but give more incentives to the buyres? If is that easy what people still do not sell? Again Thank you for your time and attention!

So so true I tell that to my blog readers all the time. Start a self hosted Wordpress blog, update it 3 times a week, drive targeted traffic to your blog, Have an Email opt-in form on your blog along with a popover form. The money is in the list! And when you build up your list to say 5k or more make your own Clickbank product sit back and watch the money roll in. This will be my next step!

      Alexa

Why don't you write an eBook on how to make money selling Clickbank products? You are one of the most knowledgeable people I know on selling Clickbank products. You would shake up the industry because you take a different perspective. But I think your view is better than I have read before.

I think you should publish a book on it. You could make a small fortune I believe. I know I would want to buy it.

But would you want to reveal all of your secrets?

I just read your 10 point system and I think it is really good and it makes sense. I am promoting two good products with excellent sales copy which convert. The commission for one of them is really high and I am hesitant to ditch it. They both have opt-in pages and the thing is every time I see opt in pages generally I get uneasy. I just went through my list and ditched all the others though, lol.

I guess my question is, if it were you, in this case what would you do? I'm also curious as to what others think about opt-in pages. Thanks in advance.

I think they do that so they can read it, whether because they're vision-impaired or using a mobile device, and don't always realise that it posts that way, too.

In general, I see people do it once or twice and then stop, so I suspect it's just a mistake.

The answer is to find a product and promote it as you would any product. The same rules always apply. The key is promotion. should it be the case that you cant promote effectively then you wont profit no matter what the product is!

Utilize your valuable time learning to promote and then it really doesnt matter what the product of your desire is. You can learn some of the essentials by joining clickbank membership sites that do a lot of the back engine room for you and provide many of the tools you need for marketing and promotion.

There are two that I use which continue to provide an acceptable return for minimum effort. I first used them in my very early promotion days. They both need updating but still bring in the dollars.

      Hi mbacchi,

Super affiliates did not become super affiliates instantly. It just happened that they started years ago and already have a huge list. Start building your list, it could take you 6, 12, 18 or even 24 months before you have 10,000 subscribers, it really depends on your effort. Main weapon of super affiliates are their subscribers list, they got huge! So when they want to promote something, they'll just send an email to their subscribers and they make money in just a matter of hours, that's the power of having a mailing list.

So, to answer your question, my obvious answer would be to build a very responsive lists.

In order to succeed in affiliate marketing you need to:

    A: Drive Traffic
    B: Build a List
    C: Convert them to buyers

I have made money with clickbank without a list, but it is not easy, and I personally have found it very difficult to sell anything over $47 without having someone on my list first.

Well-written, fairly objective product reviews can work, but if I had to start all over I would start building an email list immediately.

Man if I had started building an email list almost 2 years ago when I first started marketing online I would be living the high-life by now.

I do OK with CB, i make about $1000 a month and really work on it an hour a day or so and have no list. Just keep it simple and use tactics that work. I can count on a sale a day sometimes more, sometimes alot more. The last two days i have made just over $265 in sales. Obviously not guru income but for the time i have to invest in IM i am happy with it.

The basics for making money on CB

    blogs
    article marketing
    SEO
    Product review articles

What you really should do is build a small website with a squeeze page to sell your own product. Gather a list from this and then offer you list the chance to promote the product to others.
If you use clickbank as your hub this can become much easier to get your list promoting as it will raise your ranks with clickbank so others will be more likely to promote.
I am currently working on a website progression of my report that work on just this strategy, so i am fairly certain that is will work.
Its just if you are not an affiliate and the one holding the cards it become a lot easier for you in the long run.
    Cheers

I'll answer this right away. They struggle because they don't put in enough work or they do, but don't do it the right way. There's no way around clickbank unless you invest a lot of your time or invest a lot of your money. The choice is yours. Plenty of informational products out there on how to do it are available

Many products do not show how to set up a system that works properly. I bought so many products and they all do not seem to work, there is always something missing. What most of the product show is to go to clickbank, choose a product with high gravity, create a review page and write tons of articles to generate traffic to them. It does not seems to convert to sales. Some newbies work very hard but all they have is a system that does not work and at the end they quit.

I think that you may find there are very few successful people making money online who only use one form of internet marketing. The best way to get success is to use a few strategies.
I use blogging, adwords, video promotion, opt-in list, and aritcle promotion.
Seems to be working ok at the moment.

    1. People struggle to make their first sale because they will not take action. If you pick a decent niche, write a few decent articles, and have a decent review page you can make a few sales to start with.

    2. My advice to becoming a successful affiliate with Clickbank is to use time tested methods to drive traffic on a daily basis. Always collect email addresses, as having a list allows you to market to people over and over again, and also is a valuable asset for your business. Once you have a decent sized list of 1,000 (or even less) you can begin to conduct list swaps with other marketers in your niche, thus growing your list exponentially.

I personally like to double up on the product review/list building method by sending a short review I have written to my list. I talk about the positives and negatives of products, and what you can expect from the product. It is also important to offer a quality bonus when emailing your list. If you want them to buy from you, then you need to give them a reason to do so!

I make well over $15,000 a month on clickbank...at least $5000 a month from affiliate products....

    Here what I learned...

Even if you don't want to, create your own product...be a cb vendor yourself first...build a list...grow your list...then sell affiliate products...

To be a big affiliate, you have to be a leader in that niche...all my biggest affiliates are also leaders in the niche...

I second this advice....although affiliate marketing is a good way to get your feet wet with an online business (along with adsense) I think once you have a list built you stand to make more money from creating your own products.

Also, then you have the option of recommending a high quality product as an affiliate to a list of subscribers that you have developed a relationship with and who value your recommendations.

      Respectfully,
      Tim

people struggle to make a first sale on clickbank because they have to convince a non trusting prospect to buy on the first visit that was my problem at first then i started to build pre sell landing pages and giving away a great relating bonus product if they pulled the trigger and brought now also give an option to join my list then the sales started to roll in now to be come a super affiliate first choose your method of advertising free or paid i would go with ppc i then build campaigns keyword lists ad groups stay focus on doing that until sales come in then slowing scale up and ramp up once i have proven winners after that rinse and repeat the process

Continuing on what Alexa said, as far as selecting products and conversions are concerned, I find generally that the more niche targetted the product, the better conversion's since there is usually little competition and the users are ulra/targetted. Hope that makes sense.

Sorry but I disagree with everything that you have written other than that good affiliates are not afraid to fail. If you fail in promoting a product a good affiliate will just move on because there are plenty of products to promote. New ones every day.

I never go for top ranked products and I never invest any of my money into promoting someone else's product. Being interested in a product has nothing to do with making money promoting it. Yes, I do promote some products that interest me but that's just for S&G's. High competition products = low sales for me. Once a product becomes popular typically my conversion rate goes in the toilet because every other schumck on the planet is throwing spun articles out there to get their piece of the pie. I still get my piece thanks to old articles that I might have written but my piece becomes significantly smaller than it was when a product was new with low gravity and popularity. And no, I don't love competition. If I want to compete I'll go back to showing dogs or take up fencing. I don't want to compete for my income. I'll take the low hanging fruit every time...

Hey, just found this thread while doing a search. I am a newbie to affiliate marketing and CB. I only started 3 months ago. I sort of fell into it but I've made sales. I have no money to invest in anything yet so I just invest my time with article marketing and blogging.

I deal with one niche but focus on two sub niches. I made one sale from a product on CB with really high gravity in one sub niche and multiple sales from products with average to low gravity in the other sub niche. When there is a lot of competition, doesn't mean you won't make sales but it is true that the sales seem to be slower to come in but something tells me I should just continue my efforts.

My next step is opt-in. What I will say though, I have written a lot of articles in the last three months and blog posts and I do not plan on stopping. What has really helped me so far is consistency. I have nothing else to add right now I'm afraid.
