I am currently working on a product that revolves around list building, i have gathered information off ezine articles and will go on to look at related click bank products. I was wondering if anyone could share some good tips and knowledge about list building?

Thank you

As Kern, king of list building says, "Move the free line"! Give away a lot of free stuff, and keep it coming, to build a good relationship with your list, and then they will buy your stuff over and over again!

I would have to agree with MarteJ and regska, you need to give items of value away for free. These Items that you offer must contain useful information, something that's easy to use and understand. Like eBooks with step by step non techie information, or easy to follow video's that explains things in laymans terms. (non techie)
Remember to look at what your giving away, is this something you would want? Would you click on the link to receive this free offer?
Make your ad stand out. Put some color in your ad.
(Example) >>Free eBook on how to Whatever it is you are promoting<<
    >>Click Here To Grab your Free eBook NOW!!!<<
You must get their attention if you want them to click on your link. Send them to your squeeze page to signup for the free gift. Build your list, for it is your list that will be the lifeblood of your business.
Remember, if you give them a lot of free valuable content and treat them like people and not credit cards they will respond.
I hope this information will help you.

You got good answers here. Be funny, Give away awesome stuff, not PLR junk, give advices, and sometimes... sell.

Frank Kern is definitely the king of list building. His video "Core influence" is about this. Other guys are pretty good at it like Lee Mcintyre for example.

      Hope that helps!

Connor - the general rule of thumb is to try to give away 2-3 times worth of free valuable content more than the price of your product.

This creates an irresistible offer and gives your prospect very little reason not to purchase your product.
