One-Time Membership Payment or Recurring Payment?

Hi,

I need some opinions I have created a FTM membership site with the content being given over a 4-6 month period. Since that is a short period of time, do you think that I should have it as a one-time membership payment between $47 and $57 and just send out the lessons every week via AWeber for 4 or 6 months or a recurring payment of $10 for 4 or 6 months?

Your opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The obvious answer would be to offer both and let your customer choose.

As Neil said, either give your visitors both options or split test and see what converts best for you.

Personally I like having the money upfront because with the monthly subscription they may cancel after 2-3 months. Obviously this depends on whatever the refund/cancellation policy you have in place as well.

    Hi Michelle,

    Depends?

Let's say there is 6 months of content to be dripped to the members over a 6 month
period. You could allow new members the option of making a one time payment(discounted)
and/or also allow them to pay monthly to make it simpler on their wallets. The monthly
would allow them to cancel anytime during the 6 months.

    Example:
    One time payment = $57 <- Member Saves $3
Monthly payment = $10 a month <- Member pays Full price

    Just a thought.
    Have a Great Day!
    Michael
PS. Good luck with the site!

I just joined a course that is $47 per month over 6 months, and the only reason I joined was because it billed monthly, plus they gave a guarantee that if you didn't like it after 60 days, you could get a refund. So at least you don't drop the full $282 without getting a taste of the program.
