Wondering how to drive traffic to this website

hey warriors,

i was wondering if anyone knows how to drive traffic specifically to a opt-in landing page...

also, im pretty new and have been recently taking action. writing articles is the worst thing for me.. i swear. I think that's what Im going to outsource in my business pretty soon.

besides PPC, cause i dont want to spend money on traffic yet, what are the best ways to drive traffic to a opt-in landing page?

also, is it possible to rank for organic traffic with just this opt-in page i built.

Let me know of what you think about my mini-website...

thanks...

Your niche is a popular one, so it's going to take some effort to stand out. You could always try social bookmarking, like Digg. Or, posting on related forums. I would stick with the article marketing, too. All of these methods are slower than PPC, but they're also free and have longer lasting results than PPC.

As far as the page itself, it seems a little cluttered. When I went to it, I wasn't sure what to look at first - the yellow writing at the top, the cover of the book, the red letters, etc.

That all depends on you, and how much time you have to devote to it.

        - How fast can you write?
        - How long does it take you to do enough research to write an article? No matter what anyone tells you, writing off the top of your head is not the way to go - no matter how knowledgeable you are in your niche. People want unique, fresh information, not a rambling of thoughts.

The best advice is to go at a pace that is comfortable for you, whether that's 1 a day or 1 a week. The search engines want to see consistency, so if you post 100 articles one day and then 2 the next, it's not going to look right to them.

You say the writing is tough on you... How come? Do you just not like to write (if not, don't worry. There are plenty of people in the same boat! )

And a final thought - if you do article marketing, keep up the hard work. Article marketing can take some time to build steam, so if you've published a few articles and aren't seeing results - don't panic. The articles you're writing now (assuming they're good) can bring you traffic months (even years) down the road.

Another great way to market your landing page is to use video. Meaning, video hosting sites, viral video, and promotional videos. The best way to use video is either through YouTube or a video submission software. For more information, check out my free quick start video marketing course by clicking the link below my post. Good luck!

If you're struggling writing articles, I'm guessing it's because you either have no interest in the topic, or don't know anything about the topic.
I can churn out an aritcle in 15 minutes in my niche, because it's something I'm interested in.
I realise that you ideally need to market something that there is a demand for, but perhaps look around for something that you are remotely interested in. It will make it a whole lot easier

Even if i was interested in the topic, i would eventually get tired of it.. i like to write.. ONCE in a WHILE .. but.. i got to do what i have to do.. im planning to just make enough sales through article marketing.. then i can focus on PPC with the sales i have made... that's the plan so far..

I would stick with article marketing, forum marketing, and maybe some social networking. Maybe find some relationship support communities or something like that and market to that crowd.

Just make sure not to spam them with messages or blatant advertisements. I know that article marketing is pretty competitive for this niche, so you will really need to concentrate on writing high quality articles and syndicating them properly.

The site's good enough for now. When I open it I see that it's getting no traffic, has no backlinks to it and is not indexed in Google.

Here's how to solve the Google indexing.

    1. Get an account at Google Webmasters - just "google" it

    2. Build an XML sitemap for your site and load to your server - also can be done with a free tool.

    3. Submit the sitemap at Google Webmasters

That will speed up indexing of your site. Then, if you want to drive traffic, you can go for the free approach or the paid. Paid of course involves going to Google Adwords or MSN ads or Yahoo ads and posting your ads. Free traffic methods are article marketing, video marketing, social bookmarking etc.

Here's the thing, though, for either of them (more important for ranking in Google) you really need to consider adding relevant and helpful content to your site. Not just junky articles, but actual stuff that might actually help your readers.

Here's an example of what I mean: The Cleanse Diet Resource Center

    Hope that helps.

Do you want me to blow smoke up your butt or tell it like I see it ?

Never was too good with the smoke screens so here I go. In no way trying to offend anyone .

First you have been online a year , got suckered into the IM niche right off the bat .

Those among us ... cast the first stone

The problem is , you have been online for a year and are still asking questions about traffic generation. Traffic generation to a cap page is no different than traffic generation to anything else .

That is not the point I am getting at .

The point is , for someone who has not yet learned the art of traffic generation , the keywords you have chosen are unattainable .

The keyword is high in direct competent competition.

    Read up on traffic generation.

Go for a long tail that doesn't have the caliber of comp this one does .
