Wordpress theme to use for landing page?

Is there a Wordpress theme out there that is designed to use as a landing page?

New to IM so I am trying to keep down so a FREE theme would be great.

Also prefer to use Wordpress since it seems a bit than other options.

    Wordpress rules.

    Nuff said. You can use any theme you like for a landing page.

    I use Atahualpa a ton. It is so cusomizable, and you don't have to learn php.

    Wordpress will work a swell as any static html page....

    Making a Landing page for Wordpress | Original Adventures in Internet Marketing

    I wrote this post about how to add a landing page to any wordpress theme

    in the simplest form you can put this code below into a text file, save it as 'whatevername.php' (in the code below I named it landingpage then make a file landingpage.php) then upload it into the folder of your theme and it will work. You will find it in your new page editor as an available template. (at least in most themes, I have seen a few themes that just do not support templates)
    Add below the code whatever html that is your sales page or drop it into your page edit in the admin.

    there is more detail on my blog like how to make a page without sidebar but with your blog header and a slightly older video that still gets the idea right

    there are a few places that offer landing page themes if you just do a search

    this guy has a set of landing page themes and will give you one if you get on his list
