Godaddy Deal for $1.17 right now.

Hey All,

Heads up! Just bought a .com domain from godaddy for $1.17 Don't know how long it will last. (1 domain only) I didnt use a promo code. But try (soccer99) if it doesn't work for you.

Also got just a 30% off my .com renewals using this code...MTECH412 which I found while surfing. It also works for new domains. Just bought a new one with this code after I used up the one above. It's not a huge saving. But better than nothing.

Also found this one MTECH125 which is supposed to be 25% off $100 or more purchase but did not use this one myself. Would be worth checking out though.

Again don't know how long these are available.

Cheers Marianne

      Hey there,

Just went to the Godaddy site. It says they are $12.95 but when you find a domain and go to register it shows you the $1.17 deal. Like I said before though don't know how long it will last. I bought mine about 20mins ago now.

      Good Luck.

      Cheers Marianne

I just applied "soccer99" to the order and it worked, so:

    USE COUPON-CODE: soccer99

    (1 per customer)

    I love it

there was a code last week for 1.17 domains if you used the code SOCCER99
that link re-directs you to this page...same as SOCCER99
I thought it was expired july 1st....

    https://www.godaddy.com/Default.aspx?isc=soccer99

anyways..I already used the SOCCER99 code last week.....so I can't use it again...I just tried

This one worked minutes ago for me: SOCCER99

    It's a $0.99 offer including .com
I saw at DP forum. Was supposed to work until yesterday, only, but I registered right now with success.
(Plus $.18 ICANN fees, $1.17 total)

Yes, no paypal, no giftcards, only creditcards (and they must be unique - you can't use them on 2 different accounts, they "get that")

You know, you in the states have it so much easier than here - you simply use the paypal-plugin, get your virtual CC-number and have fun - but then, I could register 2 domains (one for me and one for my husband), because we have the needed creditcards - I'm just saying - Paypal around here is MILES behind.. I want the Virtual-CC-Plugin!!

GoDaddy could actually give away domains free and still make money because it is the renewals and private charges that they charge so much for.

Think long term when you choose your domain registrar.

I see what you are saying for a single domain renewal but if you bulk up your purchases there are codes for deals like 25% off a $100 renewal purchase. Thats only 5 domains. I've just done this earlier today. Saves you a lot of cash and makes it worthwhile

Most domains for IM require private registration. It is the missing cost, equal to the amount of renewing. If you have a look at a service like 1&1 which do NOT charge for private registration and have rather cheapo domain name reg, the math is rather simple - IF you have your domain for longer than one term.

The promos and bonus codes that GoDaddy markets are simply a way to get new IMers and website hobbyists into the fold for recurring charges. I have no problem with that, and they are obviously successful, but if YOU are in this long term (with hundreds of domains like those of us who have been at it for more than a few months) - LOOK ELSEWHERE for domain registration. You may pay a few bucks more than a GoDaddy sale, but in 12 months and every year from then on, you will be glad you did.

Another one I use for registration is Internet.bs, it also has free private registration and is even cheaper than other registrars..

Got an e-mail today informing about their price updates, still under $8 dollars.

I never really hear about them, either good or bad experiences, but I haven't had any problems. Never got a domain registered by someone else if I researched it at their website and decided to think a little more before buying...

I never type a domain search on Godaddy's site, they registered one of my searches the very next day, the same happened to a friend of mine, and words used for domains weren't even in english! They were in portuguese and hungarian. Not a coincidence.

Anyway, since we're discussing affordable but quality domain names, I wanted to share my happy experience with Interbetbs.

      Agreed with both.

Nevertheless, these promo codes are great for when you want to test a new website/niche and doesn't know if it's going to be successful..

One can do all the research available, but personally I cannot say if an idea of mine for a new website will really be successful untill I put it online and market it.

Do people want an article directory with ready-to-spin articles??
I believe yes. Will mine be successfully marketed by myself? I'm not 100% sure...

If I am not successful within one year, I only spent $1.17. If I am successful, I can think of transfering domain by the second or third year. If I am more or less successful, I can sell the website and the new owner gets to choose where to keep the domain.

Maybe it's me I'm a bad marketer and bad researcher... need to test all my ideas live.

Thank you so much it worked for me you have to unclick some auto added options from that Godaddy puts in like a second year at $11 but then for $1.17 you have the .com of your choice .... I was hoping to get into Domain flipping imagine if you could get domains at $1 all the time.
