You might try reporting the site to their ISP. They may take it down if you can provide evidence that what you say is true.

    Will

go to whois and find out who owns the site and who hosts it.

If there is a contact for the owner, try contacting them. In my experience you won't get a reply.

Then contact their web hosts and send a cease and desist letter from this site http://www.plagiarismtoday.com/stock-letters/

      That usually does the job.

      Good luck.

You don't send the notice to the scammers - you send it to their web hosts. If the host is a legitimate company they will take down the site.

In my experience that does frighten them!

File a DMCA with their host.

I just filed a dmca notice a couple of minutes ago - the offending site is hosted by hostgator.

Update - Hostgator don't hang around! Eight hours later and the offending articles have been removed!

To all those who say filing a dmca isn't worth it - I say go for it. This is my third and all have been successful. If we let the lazy thieves get away with it - they will just continue.

Exactly, If it is HostGator for example you would contact them
with some kind of proof that the content is yours.
I heard that they are pretty good at eliminating fraud.
