I am not one to quit anything without a fight however I would like some professional opinions on the following:

I have a variety of niche webstores, all keyword research done, competitively priced etc

However sometimes I can build and launch two separate stores on the same day, same amount of SEO , PPC campaigns, traffic etc and some convert and others just don't

After a couple of months of sending traffic to these stores that don't convert do you think it is best that:

A) I count my losses , pull the plug on these stores and focus on the ones that do convert (and build new stores)

or

B) Keep plugging away even if it takes a year or more to get the stores that have yet to convert to become profitable

Any advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance

Concentrate on what works. Build more stores and concentrate on best converting ones. But, one thing to keep in mind is the cost of your traffic. If you can afford or if the traffic is free, there is no harm in keeping the non converting ones online.

I would say stop building more stores and concentrate on just one - or better yet concentrate on just a few pages.

We have 20 websites and out of the thousands of pages of content on those websites only about 10 to 20 of those pages are actually making any regular money. And I'm talking an average of $10k a month for those small number of pages.

What does that say?... it says that you don't need hundreds of websites to make a decent amount of money online. You only need a handful of pages.

You need to stop building websites and concentrate on the pages that are already getting traffic and/or sales. Work on them and get them more traffic. And keep tweaking those pages so that the content on those pages converts.

Focus more on what you have rather than just keep building and building.

  • I think if you're at the stage where you can launch 2 stores a day, you're ready to concentrate on the winners.

Work out which stores are making you the most money and focus on those. There's nothing to stop you from running with the other stores (after all, so long as they make their money back, you're getting a valuable aged domain), but don't actively promote them.

Another option to consider. If you've got the launch process so refined that you can put out two stores a day, why not look and see if you can document the process, and then get an outsource team to do it for you? That would free up your time and let you concentrate on other things.

Hi, try to build more stores and concentrate. Remember the cost which you'll bear for traffic.
