Any recommendations for easy-to-use (easier than Photoshop) tool to create Kindle book cover?

I've used MyEcoverMaker and am looking for something like that for one-dimensional
book covers.

For some reasons all the ecover creator products are set up for 2 or 3-D covers (even spinning ones) which are fine for your own website but not what you need for Kindle.

Thanks to PM, I was sent to a great solution - 2007 PowerPoint.

I already knew how to use PowerPoint and there are some great
backgrounds and text effects you can select. It's amazing simple to use a gradient
color scheme and get some really nice results.

I created the background and text in PowerPoint, then saved as JPEG.
I used Fireworks to add an image. I'm pleased with my finished product.

    Thanks to J. B.
