Are people interested in reviewing my strategies?

I started affiliate marketing a year ago. I hate to complain but I haven't made a single cent. Which is a common story, but baffles me because I have tried so many methods. I have 7 different campaigns going on right now, using 7 different ebook methods. None have worked.

One particularly confusing result is my CPA campaign, which is receiving hundreds of traffic from over 30 articles I've written, and all people have to do is fill out an email, and I make a couple of cents, yet I can't even convert that simple tactic.

Since I'm quitting, and these sites aren't producing, I'd post them here if you guys would give me advice on what is wrong with them.

On a more positive tack than the last reply you had, there is a saying in I.M which goes something like and sorry I cant remember it exactly but its something like; "Internet marketers dont fail, they just give up before success comes."

Listen you sound quite a lot like me struggling to make money, trying lots of different programs and techniques. I've recently begun to wonder whether it would be advantageous to join forces with other IMers like yourself and see if we can figure this out. I promise I'm not trying to sell anything I would just like to have someone like minded to pool ideas and strategies with. If we come up with something good I've recently had a fresh idea, for me anyway, about where we could market it. We could get a business partnership and split the profits. What do you think?

Anyway dont give up. Just think about things in a different way.

    Graham

Don't quit yet, post your strategies and you may realize that all you need to do is make a tweak or two for the money to come. Or at the very least, you'll be able to inform other people on what not to do!

The fact that you have seven different campaigns and have tried 7 different "ebook strategies" is a red flag for me. You have to pick one thing and stick with it until you are taking action every minute of every hour you get for IM.

Don't give me the BS "I am taking action" because the natural inclination is to cut corners, to think something won't work too early, and to give up or go at it half-assed.

You want a no-fail way to make money? Pick a super popular niche like penis enlargement, write 5 articles per day on it and submit them to EZA, pointing to a simple review page. Hell, if that's too hard, just direct link to the sales page and deal with a slightly lower conversion rate. You can do 5 articles in an hour and a half or less honestly, with 10 mins of submitting. That right there is EXACTLY what I was doing a couple months back to make $500-600 each month.

So why not just DO IT? I'm sorry but you have to be mentally deficient to not make at least ONE sale using the method I just outlined. Sure it's WORK, but you didn't think IM was the secret fairy dreamland of jobs where you got to make continuity streams by "dabbling" in 7 different nitwits' "courses" for a couple months at a time, did you?

I haven't really done much in the way of CPA, but CPA affiliate marketing is sort of its own culture.

The landing pages are very commercially designed so it seems like an obvious ad. So you might be better doing PPC ads to your CPA offer.

      Or...

Since you're managing to get traffic from your articles to an affiliate page, instead send your article traffic to a blog or a list.

Capture the traffic that's already coming to you.

Find one of those Wordpress salespage templates, load it onto a Wordpress blog. Get Aweber and put an opt-in form on to your opt-in list.

Build a relationship with your customers. Provide them useful information first, then promote a product to them. People who find you via articles, are looking for information first. They're not yet ready to buy anything unless...

You write your article in such away that it brings them from thinking mode to buying mode some kind of way.

      Or...

Change the landing page that people are coming to from your articles. Instead of them going straight to your CPA offer, pre-sell them with a landing page talking about the the benefits of the product you're promoting.

The logic of thought has to have a smoothe transition from the search article, to your resource box, to the landing page to your affiliate page.

People are starting to wise up to ads and what they're designed for lately. So you've got to be as honest as you can about what you're offering.

      Or...

Change the keywords that you're targeting in your articles. Sometimes keywords get traffic, but it doesn't mean they're profitable. Look for keywords that indicate a person is in a buying mode.

e.g. "weight loss tips" doesn't sound as commercial as "Best Fat loss DVD".

You also want your articles to rank well on the search engines so you have to make sure you're using high-traffic, low-competition keywords.

I'm sorry to hear the discouragement. But I understand it as I've failed many many times. I've thought I saw the other side of the river dozens of times only to find that I need to work harder.

There is a reason that 95% of businesses fail in the first 5 years (something like that). Do you think it's because the business starters weren't smart? Weren't talented enough. No, most of them were probably smarter and more talented than you and I together.

So what's the problem? I think the problem is lack of a sound starting focus, plan and strategy. Your business focus, plan and strategy need to be based in execution and action. If you can't get things done and execute your plans and strategies, nothing will ever work.

Everyone who started their own business went through a lot of struggle. I'm speaking to myself when I say that to expect have a profitable business up and running overnight is stupid.

Good luck whatever you do, I hope you find something that you really enjoy!

Dude you're thinking about it way too hard.

Don't waste your time with that stuff. Choose a product off CB, get an affiliate link and start up a cheap Facebook campaign. You'll make money the first day. :-)

Never been a big fan of affiliate marketing, chasing niches, building hundreds of blogs and articles for small income. Direct Sales and Offline Marketing are the way to go in my opinion.
