Nope - I'm using the free version of Member Wing - but I'd be very interested to know your experience with it once you've started using it Are you using the $97 single license or a higher version?

I have not either but have been tempted too. If you do post a review.

haven't bought it yet, would get the single if do.

Hard to find a review from someone who isn't trying to sell it to me but then that's the game!

But how's the free Member Wing?

Member Wing seems to be the one time something doesn't fall into the category of "you get what you pay for." For a limited number of members (200 or less), the free version seems to be working great so far. I thought it was hinky at first, but then I learned it was pretty much just a learning curve.

    Hey Paul,
I know this isn't about Magic Member, but I wanted to throw out there that I use Ravi's "Digital Access Pass" for my video member site and in a word, it is.....

    Wonderful.

I did my research on all of the available plug-ins and found DAP to be the best for my needs. I think he has a WSO for it as well.

I used Magic Members on my some personal websites and it's perfect. They have a great support team (working 7 days in a week).

Bayo - Ravi says he is going to open that WSO again soon, so hold tight. Many of us are waiting on that happening.

I ran both DAP and MagicMember with a friend who owns both on a test site. Here were our subjective conclusions and why I'm waiting to get DAP.

    1. MagicMember is very powerful and user friendly. It has a very modern user interface with a good look and feel. However it costs the same as DAP when you add in the Affiliate Management.

    2. DAP wins on functionality. It was more technical to learn but not a lot. Functionality more than made up for that.

    3. I've heard support from both companies is great. However DAP's documentation and training material is far far superior. Just compare websites and you'll see that. I have only experienced Ravi's support and his frequent posts here so I don't know from experience MM's support. I like that Ravi is here.

    4. MMis a new product. I prefer buying established products with a track record. That means for me DAP wins. Why buy the new product unless there is a cost differential? I know DAP is used by some heavy hitters and will be there tomorrow when I have a problem. Unless I was saving big money with MM I would stay with a proven winner. That said if you don't need affiliate management I believe MM is less expensive.

    Summary:
    Ease of Use: MM
    Interface: MM
    Cost: Same
    Functionality: DAP
    Documentation: DAP
    Add-ons: DAP
    Support: Same (I've been told)
    History: DAP

    Conclusion:

I decided on DAP. My co-tester on MM. He felt his needs were simplier and the ease of use from MM made that the way to go. He got great support from MM (which he needed since the documentation sucked) and has been very pleased. He isn't worried about out growing MM - although he might. I felt I'd rather have a bit more of a learning curve for a more robust system so that I wasn't having to convert down the road.

Lastly, DAP is coming out with a self shopping ability add-on to DAP. People earn credits by buying stuff and they can use them to self shop your other products. Not only does this help keep them in your continuity program, i.e. membership program, it gives them bonuses which people love and the abitity to try other of your products that they wouldn't normally. Brilliant. It works they people like on the internet: freedom, choice and free. Again, brilliant.

I heard MagicMembers was a clone of an older version of

      yourmembers.co.uk ??

Anyone know if this is true, as I hear MM is outdated compared to the above versions available.

I use Magic Members plugin for my clients and I'm happy with that...

I used YM plugin too, they don't have even a support system. Don't waste your time with them.

Here's the Magic Members' payment modules page.
