Article writing critque needed. Does this look like an "Article"?

Dear Warriors,

After reading so many posts that Article writing is the quickest way to start making money, and having lost my business in the last year due to economic downturns, and a recent struggle with an "offline cash cow" start up..., I am thinking of also getting into freelance article writing to both generate some extra cash, and also for the purpose of showing my teenage daughter how she can make money as well.

So...

In an effort to "just take action" I wrote the sample article earlier today, in about an hour. Please offer your critiques of said article, and tell me is this what they mean?

Are these the types of articles people pay for?

This one (first attempt) is based on the following keywords

1: Career in online article writing
2: Online article writing
3: Article writing.

Here is My first article:

“Pursuing a career in Online Article Writing”

Thousands of people all over the planet, young and old are seeing new hope by turning to a career in online article writing.

With the Internet booming, and with so much room for growth, online article writing can be a very lucrative career choice.

If you have been to Elance lately, or any of the freelance job sites on the Internet, you can hardly avoid noticing that there is a huge, and growing demand for good article writers.

Why?

There are literally millions of web sites out there being promoted that can only stay competitive by constantly adding new content.

Adding new articles to a website regularly is important because search engines determine a website’s value largely by the amount of relevant content on their site.

In short, this means that “There are literally thousands of website owners out there paying out cold hard cash every day to have ordinary people like you and I write hundreds of 3-500 word articles for their sites! There is a huge demand!

Another Benefit of choosing article writing as a career is this:

It doesn’t take a ton of experience, in fact; the writer of this very article you are reading didn’t graduate from high school. It’s true.

Here’s another interesting fact:

Probably 50% of the article writing community, your competitors… don’t even speak fluent English, and are from countries abroad, even though the demand is primarily for “English written” articles.

Even if you are not the best, or do not yet have a wide reputation… , you can start a career in online article writing, as long as you can write relevant content that’s fairly interesting, and that an English reader can understand.

It’s amazing to think that some people actually make $100. per day regularly whose articles , in many cases (not all), don’t even contain correct grammar.

The reason these people are able to make a living is simply because the demand for articles is so huge that there simply aren’t enough writers to fill the gap.

Chances are that you can place an ad for your writing services on the internet, and land a professional article writing assignment more quickly, and easily than you can land a regular brick and mortar job in the newspaper. Many people start out to do this, and then find that they never have to report to a regular day job ever again.

If you want to try your hand at online article marketing, all you have to do is START NOW.

All it requires to succeed is a willingness to work hard, and a commitment to strive for constant improvement.

There are many places to start learning about a career in online article writing, such as the warrior forum, where you can learn and read about the success of others like yourself who started from right where you are right now, and have done so with great success.

So what are you waiting for? Why not get started today?

It only takes a moment to decide to start right now and you could be well on your way to a lucrative career in online article writing industry!

Good Luck Everyone!

You obviously have a talent that is worth your time. From what is here it appears you have researched the internet and "almost" copied quite a bit of the content. Be careful of making sure that the statements are quite a bit different to the originals. Also, place your key word phrases in the usual beginning, a couple in the center and at the final last words. Keep up your inspiration as you are correct in your assumption that this service is needed. Research is very important for each article. The better the research the higher the price for your work.

Thanks Guys. I sooo appreciate the encouragement. The article is 100% original off the top of my head... didnt base it off any others content or anything.

I thought I placed the keywords in the right places, but will look again.

So I guess this is an acceptable article format then?

The article flows well and reads well. You need a bit of proofing, mainly with your punctuation, but that's all that I can see.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get in that range for your prices.

        Good luck,
        Tina

Good article, I didn’t find anything wrong with it. You have mentioned a few websites in your article that's ok as a long as you don’t want to direct your readers to a certain website that you are promoting. However, if you want to direct your readers to a certain website, then only mention the website you're promoting, you don’t want to distract your readers.

Indeed. Good thought. If this were for a client I would be sure to focus all attention toward their link. Important distinction.

The only thing that I would change is the end of the article. If you plan on submitting this article the article directories such as ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, articlesbase.com, etc. then you need to end your article by leading the reader to click on your resource box.

I often end the article with a question. For instance, it seems that your article is telling people how they can make a career out of writing articles online. In my opinion, the last sentence should go something like this.

"However, knowing where to start can be difficult, and that is why many people give up before they ever really get started. Would you like to see how I do it?"

More than likely they will want to know how you do it, which is why they will then click on the link within your resource box. Trust me, one little change like this can triple your CTR (click-thru rate).

I think you are definitely on the right track, I would just make this small change.

(Note: this is not based on theory, I have approx. 800 articles published at ezinearticles.com and I have tested resource boxes pretty extensively to see what converts).

This may not be right for everyone, but I wanted to share what has worked for me.

Cool Thanks... I dont have anything real to link this article to at the moment though.

So then I could either sell this article or use it to promote a product. Thanks for the confirmation.

you did a great job, with this one, most def. you have my jobs for grabs, but will advice you strongly when writing articles have a time frame for each article, make sure you don't put pressure on yourself and try as much as possible to be original and follow a particular niche online.

That way you are sure of getting to the top without distractions .. just my 10 cents advice

I would agree the article reads and flows well and it's highly informative plus it sounds natural when you read it so it doesn't make the reader feel sleepy or something even when skimming through. Good job on your first run! Nothing more to say.
