Did You Ever Get Paid For Giving Advice on This Forum?

Not to cast doubt or anything, but you see those posts all the time:

"Give you 20$ beer for the best name" etc etc

Did any of you actually ever got paid for giving such advice? I'm all for free advice sharing and not implying that people should actually pay for it, but I'm just wondering..

If I get no replies means nobody got paid, lol

Actually, when we used to have the "buy beer" button, I've had people send
me money for the strangest reasons. I rarely reply to a post where somebody
says "$20 For Best..." but have replied to simple requests for info and have
been pleasantly surprised by a "You've Got Funds" email from PayPal.

There are some very generous people here, which is one of the reasons that
I love this place so much. Most people are willing to give a lot more than they
    expect back in return.

I've was paid for coming up with a name or something in one of those contests here before.

I've also been paid by warriors for helping out with scripts & things even though payment was never offered or asked for.

    Good people here!

              Hi Paul,

              SPLORF!

              Got me.

Be careful - your post and our conversation will get deleted and then loads of new comments will arrive (like in the 'poll about icons' thread) although I guess they're still interested in opinions on that one???

I presume the huge grin is for that reason?

      Hi,

I get a cheap thrill when I see someone who appears desperate to get the $20, yet their last post is one where they claim to effortlessly earn 7 figures.

I think it's generous when a person pays someone else for free advice or something that they quickly need. Maybe they have so much money that they just don't care. But in the end, I agree that giving advice on forums should be free.

I have received "beers" also and won a copy of Traffic Secrets 2.0 here and they even paid for shipping.

Yes, I received a donation for giving advice. At first I thought
it was a trick but then realized it was from a Warrior.

Never entered one of those contest though.

Yes, numerous times. I've even received beer money when I had no clue what I had done to deserve it.

I also was a winner of a Traffic Secrets 2 package, but highly disappointed that Allen and John thought it was too far to personally deliver it to my door. Of course, I consoled myself by drinking their portions of whiskey.

I also won over $100 from Moffatt for designing his Faceblood image, and we forwarded that on to help others.

Believe me, it's a pretty damn good community here.
