INTERNET MARKETING

I just found a search engine that's going to probably get at least 50% of my search queries from now on.

Check this puppy out, it's sweet as.

It's called Nibbo - you can find it here: Nibbo Search, your way

Here's some of the cool stuff.

The front page gives you an instant view of trending topics:

HOMEPAGE

Search results are super sweet. Everything is at a glance.

WEB SEARCH RESULTS

SITE PREVIEW

You've got:

Main search results front and center. Favicons show up so you can easily spot results from Wikipedia, EzineArticles, HubPages and so on.
Click the "Preview" link and check out the page inline without going anywhere
No need to page through separate lots of search results. When you scroll to the bottom it refreshes and adds new search results on the end. As long as you want to scroll it will give you fresh results.
Images show up on the right sidebar
You have easy access to refinements on the left sidebar so you can drill down
On the right side you can drill down to specific content types such as video, Wikipedia, Twitter. Click on any of those and bring them up as the main search results. The Twitter one is particularly sweet

TWITTER RESULTS

I've been using this lately and it's freakin awesome.

The downside is you don't seem to get quite as many search results as through Google. Perhaps that will change over time.

At the moment I'm using a combination of both Nibbo and Google.

There's a lot of really nice perks through Nibbo though from an IM perspective so I reckon you folks might find this handy.

They did a good job tailoring the layout for wide screen monitors...

Wish the scrolling wasn't so Facebook newsfeed'ish though

  I have tried using it and it was cool indeed. The results come in very quick and when you type in your search key there are also a suggestions which comes in very quick too. Thanks for sharing this!

  Yeah, the scrolling it kind of different. You don't have to keep clicking to -next page- to see more results as it auto loads as you scroll down.
  
  It's a bit too busy as well, not enough white space, gets hard on the eyes.

I see a problem here,

Compared to google, Nibbo gets no traffic at all and this makes me wonder how accurate all of that data is going to be?

I mean, it is based on such a small number of searches (and searchers)

looks like a IM friendly search engine!

the best feature is you only have to scroll down to see results for the 2nd page, 3rd page and so on. no need to click next anymore! something google should do.

It looks like it is powered by Google...

Nibbo is powered by Google App Engine, Google AJAX search, Google CSE, and Amazon CloudFront.

Still, it is pretty nice, I like it.

Yeah I was wondering if it was pulling results from Google alone or also Yahoo etc.

It's as much an ease of browsing factor that I'm into as anything.

I'm going to Google when I want a straight up megalist of results.

I'm going to Nibbo when I want to do a bit more browsing and exploring.
