As An Affiliate - How You Want To See Affiliate Pages

I'm revamping my affiliate pages. I notice most other affiliate sites are just a long, single screen, whereas I've always broken mine into separate pages for easier viewing.

I'm talking about the usual affiliate info on linking, articles, mini-sites, interviews, banners etc.

However, before I change to go with the majority, anyone have a comment on how they like to view these kind of pages?

Or doesn't it really matter... as long as the commission is high!

I don't think it matters if it is on different pages or not, just as long as it is easy to find.

If you have banners, email promotions, articles then that is about all that matters. Anything that can help me sell your stuff, the more I like it.

    Hi Ken,

Yeah, most of the ones I see are one long page.

I see some with email swipe files you can use to promote the products. Sometimes these are all text'd out. But if you use a scrolling box you can fit them in in a tiny amount of space.

One thing I find helpful and I'm doing this on my own is to add a list of bulleted talking points about the product. I think it helps people who want to write some articles or make blog posts about the product pick out key benefits of the product quickly rather than searching through he sales page for them.

Bigger affiliates will probably either buy or ask for a sample copy of the product, but a lot of smaller ones won't, they will create pre-sell pages just from the info on your sales pages. If you spell out the key benefits for them I think they can do a better job of selling.

Same with article writing. Giving them a list of key benefits can make it more likely they will write some articles to drive traffic to their pre-sell pages. Just some thoughts.

    Good luck with it!

Affiliate Page Pro - Build Your Army Of Marketers Today for the win.

Fantastic software that makes creating affiliate pages (and adding them to your list) a breeze.

    It uses the single-page format.

As I learn, it gets easier to navigate my way around the affiliate pages to find what I need. When I first started (just a few short weeks ago btw) I really appreciated simple, easy to follow styles in a single-page format.

Yep one page is fine, keep it simple but have all you need to promote your product. I dislike affiliate pages that make you sign up before you can get to see what affiliate banners and tools you have, I like to be able to just go in and see what you have that I can use.
A good variety of banner sizes is always good too.

Keep it simple and direct to the point. Don't distract and make it difficult to your potential affiliates. The amount of money and the value of your product are really what counts the most.

Any more ideas for an affiliate page generator? The two so far don't meet my requirements.

That's how I do it now too. But what I'm after is automatic ClickBank ID insertion into dozens of URL's for newsletters, articles etc on my affiliate page. Mike Filsaime's program also has rebrandable PDF's, and this is another area I need - but their overall design is not what I want.

I suppose I could get it done by rentacoder or somewhere, the code is not that complex, but the tweaking to get it right is always a long job.

          Thanks Paul,

I tried several brandable PDF programs, but unfortunately I'm in that twilight zone of knowing a lot about HTML - and very little else. Those brandables were hard work to figure out!

I agree completely. But I would hate to miss out on someone in the 90% who might just turn into a giant salesmaker.

The long pages are fine and the format that 99% of affiliates are used to. But it's a "plus" to have convenient quick links, at the top of the page, to the various sections (emails, banners, reviews, ppc ads, etc).

Another warrior referenced Affiliate Page Pro. I 2nd that! Love that software. And the new version includes affiliate code for videos for your affiliates.

Thanks to everyone who helped here. I've just finished V.1 of the new affiliate site. Click my sig below.

I've got more to add yet - including rebrandable PDF's that I'm working on now - but if anyone has ideas on what else they think I should include, let me know.

I've just completed a rebrandable Report for my affiliates with Easy Viral PDF Brander, and it works great! Check it out at my affiliate center link below.

But I'm still searching for a way on my website so that my affiliates can insert their ClickBank ID into a number of my affiliate links. Preferably not javascript based.

If anyone has an idea, PM me or let me know here. Last stop is hiring a coder that I don't know, and that's not my first choice.

            Good day Ken

I am writing to enquire why you have not been able to give me support with your product, i bought one of your products last week and only got a new client order confirmation email but did not get the Silver lotto manual. I have had no response to my ticket which was logged four days ago. I went onto buy the Silver Lotto PRO System as per your recommendation and got the profiles via email but still no manual, it seems the only time I can get attention from you is when I make a purchase but not when I need help, well I am stuck now with Silver Lotto PRO System profiles as I am not sure how to fill the tickets since i did not get the maual which is required when filling the tickets. I need to use the manual for Saturday's game asap.

Is there any way you can help me?

I'm not going to comment on the whole "top 10% vs. bottom 90% of affiliates" thing because that's a whole different discussion.

The bottom 90% are the ones who want all those various affiliate tools, from blog posts and solo ad spots to tweets and ecovers.

The top 10% of your affiliates will just need swipe copy. Think about it: super affiliates are super affiliates because they consistently sell a lot of stuff to their lists.

I'm not saying you should always do this, but since your top affiliates will bring you the bulk of your sales, you can probably get away with simply having a few (really good) pieces of swipe copy on your affiliate page.

Save money by not getting all those other promo tools done and instead spend that money on hiring a good email copywriter.

All that said, different products and markets may require different promotional tools. There's no single right answer to this question
