Payment gateway that accepts credit cards and Paypal.

Hello.

I'm looking for a payment gateway that accepts credit cards and Paypal from users,
and allows withdrawals of funds onto a debit card.

It must also allow the selling of physical goods (because some of the below listed sites are digital goods only).

I've already gone through all of the following providers but not all of them support my country, some offer only merchant accounts, a few of the sites are down, etc. In other words none of the below listed sites are suitable.

If you know of a solution please post it here or PM me, thanks a lot.
(My current solution is switching to digital goods only).

What country are you in? Reason I ask is the U.S. bans doing business with some countries (such as Iran).

Paypal isn't fully supported and is not an option.
I only want a solution that can also allow users to pay with Paypal if that is what they want to use.

Are you using a shopping cart? Shopping carts like CubeCart allow the user to pick what payment method they would like to use, i.e. PayPal or Visa/MC via your merchant account or Auth.net.

      Seconded.

We've been using 2CO for ages and haven't had any issues, apart from a little bit slow customer support.

I don't think they have any country restrictions either and payments can be done to a Payoneer debit card.

Here's an update since I posted. I got an email from 1AutomationWiz, and here's a quote:

"Hi Ben, Since signing up for our ecommerce automation system two
days ago you've may be wondering how you want to take
        online payments.
With 1AW you can offer your customers a choice of paying
via paypal or via credit card.
The problem is that setting up a merchant account is
confusing and very often expensive if you don't read the
        fine print!
        http://1automationwiz.com/online-merchant-account.htm

In survey after survey, we find that what our clients want
most is a reliable merchant account (at a fair price) so
they can take online credit card orders.
So we've via a special arrangement made exclusively for
our users, you can now get your own online merchant account
        and we'll pay for it!"

For what it's worth. Definitely seems to be a possible solution for you.

According to their website, 1automationwiz works with Paypal as well as other merchant accounts, and they can get you a merchant account (they claim) I got this info from their FAQs. You might check it out. They have a lot of services. I am currently taking advantage of their 30-day free trial, although most of their services don't meet my needs (for example, I have a merchant account through a company that is okay with IM, so I don't need that through them.)

I appreciate the replies but like I said I require a payment gateway and not a merchant account (in other words the payment gateway processes the payments), I just send the user to the gateway from my shopping cart.

That's what I was getting at... your shopping cart should have the choices. If they want to pay by PayPal click here, CC via whateverpaymentsystem.com click here.

If you are simply looking for a single service that offer the choice of PayPal or credit cards, then 2checkout.com is your answer.

Unfortunately 2co doesn't support my products.

Anyway I haven't seen a lot of gateways that allow withdrawal of funds via a debit card, does anyone know of any (and besides 2co, plimus, fastspring).

Actually Plimus only supports digital goods, just like Fastspring.

Surely there must be other gateways that allow withdrawal via a debit card.

I realize this is an old post that has been revived, but there is quite a bit of misinformation on the thread about merchant accounts and gateways.

A merchant account is where the credit card payments are actually accepted. A payment gateway is just the conduit between your shopping cart/site and your merchant account.

It's a little confusing because some payment gateways like Authorize.net do offer a "virtual terminal" where you can enter the charge information, but the actual processing is done through your merchant account.

You could have a merchant account alone without a payment gateway if you weren't processing payments online. However, you would never have a payment gateway without a merchant account.

Packaged payment processing solutions, such as Paypal, 2Checkout, Propay.com, etc., are just that . . . a packaged solution.

With them, you don't have your own merchant account or payment gateway, they allow you access to theirs.

So you're not going to find a "payment gateway" that takes Paypal. If you just wanted to allow people to pay by Paypal or credit card, Paypal can do that. They allow people to pay by credit card without a Paypal account.

The ability to accept credit cards with your own merchant account AND Paypal individually is a function of your shopping cart.

There are multiple reasons why a payment service provider declines an application.

The most common reason is your industry type. It happens Primarily because there are few industries which the card brands do not support. There is a set of MCC code that is considered Taboo by all PSP's. I hope your business is not one of those.

If your products are from one of those extremely High Risk Industries then you should try to find an alternate payment processing solutions.

If your target audience is in the United States of America then you can also look at electronic check as an alternative payment processing solution.

The second thing what you have to look at is the country where your company is registered.

Most of the well-known card brands are registered in the United States or they started from United States so they have to follow the terms and conditions and recommendations of the US government.

In case if your location is under any US sanction or UN sanction or is considered a disputed territory then you will always find problems in terms of accepting credit and debit card payments. This may also be a challenge if you apply for echeck or electronic cheque processing.

If you could specify the type of business and the location of your country then we will be the much better position to assist you. I work for a payment processing consultancy and we help merchants globally. Honestly we are only able to assist merchants in case if we can look at the website. Looking at the website helps us to understand the business model. It also helps us to give suggestions to the merchants that may help in getting approved.

    Happy processing
