I got the following message in an email from the producers of Market Samurai. they are giving an extended trial as they have something to do with this years' challenge

The Challenge Goal: Build a Profitable Online Business =============

This year's Challenge has a new format, but the goal of The Challenge remains the same: To build a profitable online business.

You'll receive the latest up-to-date training on how to build your own site, how to get as much traffic to the site as quickly as possible - and then how to harness that traffic amd monetize it to create your own income source.

And all you need is 30 minutes a day.

This means no matter your circumstances - whether you are working a job, looking after kids, running a business - it's easy to complete in this year's Challenge.

The best part is, unlike MOST internet marketing training (which sells for hundreds, even thousands of dollars) all of The Challenge training is completely free.

So the first dollar you earn (and every dollar after that!) will be all the sweeter.

=============
Who Should Do "The Challenge"?
=============

Because The Challenge is a full crash course on the latest internet marketing techniques, it doesn't matter whether you're new to internet marketing, or a seasoned expert, The Challenge is a valuable experience.

Some of the content that will be covered this year includes the latest strategies for Keyword Research, Search Engine Optimization, Backlinking, Link Network Creation, Article Marketing, Copywriting, Website Monitoring, and more.

So it doesn't matter what your experience level is, there is something for you.

This in information I got in an email from 'The Challenge'

Welcome to The Challenge in 2010

You're in great company: over 75,000 everyday people from around the globe participated in 30DC 2009 and The 2010 Challenge will be even bigger!

In 2010, the 30DC has been renamed as The Challenge and has a new home at The Challenge. The training format has also changed to a much much shorter pre-season (which started on the 1st of July) followed by 7 modules of 7 days duration (commencing on the 13th of July) where each module is separated by a weeks break.

This new format allows for a much easier learning experience with plenty of time for understanding and implementation.

The whole thing is FREE

I hope other warriors may join

I did the 30DC seriously in 2007, followed as a sidestream in 2008. I've signed up again this year as the 30 mins/day, one week on one week off, means I can fit it in with other things. It's a good thing for me to do as it often includes a lot of info on using social media, which I am bad at!

Alexa, they haven't actually started the Challenge yet, just in "pre-season" where they are getting people to download and set up stuff, and sign up for accounts in various places. I think Ed's folksy DIY video approach appeals to a lot of people - perhaps it makes everything seem more approachable and less guru-like.

One thing I think they have not done a good job of is moving people seamlessly over from teh old 30DC sites to teh new stuff. You have to do a whole lot of re-signing up for things, and don't necessarily get notified about stuff until you do.

      How did you find it?

      Was it fun?

      Was it profitable?

This will be my first time working through the "Challenge" while it's happening.

I found last year's challenge stuff after the "live" event was over. I did peruse through the recorded material. From what I recollect it's all about how to set up a blog, getting decent SEO results, writing articles, submitting to sites, setting up adsense and affiliate stuff to try to get your site to earn your first $1 online.

The WF is much more helpful. But since the Challenge is $0 and only 30mins/day I don't mind making myself available to learn. They did toss out some good ideas and 411 last time.

I found it very educational, although the video presentation method had (and has) me grinding my teeth sometimes Ed tends to get a bit over-excited: everything is the latest and greatest breakthough that "changes everything"

Fun - it was pretty high-pressure to get everything done each day, so I think this year's will be more fun and more relaxed with the different format. I also ended up in a team where I was the most experienced, and spent a lot of time hand-holding without getting a lot of useful help myself. This time I am in a team with 5 other experienced people, so I'm hoping the help will go all ways. I don't mind helping people - I enjoy it - but I can get fed up with it when it seems to be all one way.

Profitable - well since it didn't cost anything, any $$ earned as a result was profit, so yes. I used the methods they presented on an existing site rather than starting a new one, and increased the traffic as result by a factor of 10. It didn't increase sales by that much (because of the niche, not because of the methods), but it did increase them.

I did it in 2007 and am doing it again this year to see what has changed. I put together a UK group and the way we are interacting is very promising, we are having fun and also learning from and helping each other even in these early stages. Personally I think that Ed and his team explain things well and I would recommend the challenge to newbies or those who have been around a while.

I have signed up, I did it last year but slackened off half way through it and didn't follow it through completely.
They do give very good information and it's free (although they do recommend purchasing some software programs) so it is definitely something I would recommend to do.
I bought Market Samurai during last years challenge and I continue to use it all the time, it is an absolute fantastic program so if you can afford to buy the full version then do so - it is worth it!

Not sure but they did give a special price on it last year so you should get a discounted price.

I have joined The Challenge this year. I've tried various Internet marketing products and courses in the past two years, but haven't stuck with any of them, nor made any profit. I like the way The Challenge is set up. I like the fact that I get to try market samurai free for the entire time of The Challenge.

I really like the concept of working consistently over a period of time. I'm looking for the growth that will occur. It is much like the changes I've seen in my body happen over the past 75 days as I progress through P90 X.

Feel free to private message me at any time over the next 14 weeks of the Challenge to ask me what my thoughts are about the Challenge.

Just an additional comment at the end of the first week: it's been worth it just to get me to try Chrome instead of Firefox, and Market Samurai as well as Micro Niche Finder.

I'm really liking the Market Samurai videos - really shows you how to use it to your full potential.

I did the challenge in 2007 but kind of got derailed with a major family illness so I only kind of half did it but I learned a ton (and made a little money too!)

This year, I have my own plan I am working so I'm not actually "doing" the challenge, still I find it worth my time to watch each lesson in case I can learn something that applies to my plan.

Yes, I have started the challenge, am learning new stuff even though I have had a website that made some money the traditional way i.e. well researched and keyword targetted content in article writing and thus getting organic search engine visitiors who bought from an affiliate link ...

Market Samurai is the BEST software for this industry out there, and I have managed to find lots of niches whereas this was my issue before.

I am behind in doing the work as set but it can be done at your own pace so am not worried. As it's FREE training I feel there is more to gain than lose in terms of knowledge.
