Thinking of starting a YouTube-like niche site - Any advice?

I'm contemplating starting a YouTube-like site for videos relating to my niche. I'm confident I can get the word out about the site. I have a site/forum in this niche that gets 4,000+ unique visitors daily and has about 23,000 members on the forum. Also a YouTube account with 13,000 subscribers.

What I'm mainly concerned about is the costs needed to start/operate such a site. I don't exactly have much to spend.

Anyone able to offer any advice? Especially those who are currently running these types of sites.
