Starting out in affiliate marketing

INTERNET MARKETING

Does anyone know of good free classified sights to post links to such as craigs list. all other suggestions welcome as well thanx in advance

Craigslist works pretty well for generating leads, but if you are hoping for the "one off
sale then your affiliate marketing career may be short lived. Also, make sure you don't have any affiliate links in your sig, as this can get you in trouble in this forum.

I tired CL when I was first getting started but found them to be completely useless for me. Unless you are using paid advertising like adwords there is no real shortcut. The best way is to research your niche and find a keyword rich domain name, optimize a nice looking site and add relevant content on a regular basis. Then use article, press release, and video marketing to drive traffic and help with backlinks.

I would then get high PR backlinks to supplement my other SEO and if you did your research properly there is no reason why you will not start to see positive results in under a few months.
