Hey Warriors!

Can anyone reccomend some good video marketing courses?

I'd like to find out about how to make video's etc, the best ways to market them, and which types of products are best to use video marketing with.

Also I havn't been able to find any threads on the forum on this topic - so if you know of any that would be great!

Regards

Francis

Video Master Course by Kevin Riley - just Google it. Very Very good from a well known and highly trusted WF member.

There is video boss which I heard is pretty good but expensive

Yikes! Must disagree on that recommendation.

However if you want more video tutorials on making videos, I would recommend the free content provided by Dave Kaminski at

Web Video University - How To Create, Get Traffic and Get Paid From Web Video - WebVideoUniversity.com
(Dave Kaminski's videos are excellent, to the point and not hokey at all
      - just sign up for the blog on his page)

Also the free videos provided by Lynda.com. There are some interesting courses there that include screencasting and powerpoint which are nicely suited for new video producers.

With the free videos from those two sites and a book or two, you have all you need. Anything else, just post here.

Also, if you do PAY for anything, then get a monthly subscription at Lynda. It's like $25 bucks a month and has hundreds of courses on many programs you will surely be using more and more of. This is important because there are many programs you will likely be using for video production... at least down the road - like photoshop, screenflow or camtasia, power point or keynote, after effects, editing, designing, writing - etc. Its an excellent resource and I just pay them annually because I use them so much.

Web Video University costs $49-99 a month. Lydia sounds pretty good, they could have some good stuff, I have only taken one of their courses so really can only talk about that; their advanced seo course was very minimal in usefulness, actually very basic information.

These may be worthwhile choices but I took Kevin's course and one very important component of it, to me, is how expertly Keven wove his extensive and successful selling knowledge throughout the nearly 60 total lessons.

Ask anyone who took that course and they will have good things to say about it.

That is perhaps the shortest written and least explanatory video marketing course I have ever seen.

Video marketing is hot and catching up fast. Some of the "video" stuff at the top of my mind are:

    • Engaging power point / keynote videos are better than people talking in videos in some cases.
    • You can outsource voiceovers at voices.com if you don't have a good voice.
    • YouTube is not the only video site... there are tons of them and distributing to all of them is better because you will get multiple results of your videos in google video search.
    • Start using video sitemaps if you are hosting videos in your site. Google is getting serious about video sitemaps.
    • Read ReelSEO.com - a great blog about videos.
    • Promoting amazon products through YouTube is great way to earn with Amazon Associates.
    • Get video reviews of the products that you want to promote for just $5 at fiverr.com
I could go on and on... but I will stop here coz my fingers are hurting

If you want to get the best out of filming there's a great resource here:

This isn't about Video Marketing per se, more about making sure the quality of your video is high. The guy behind the site - Steven Washer - is in my Mastermind Group and he knows a great deal about video.

I would say mine, it is complete start to finish and a WSO priced low, however I would be bias

    A few tips to start
    - Video marketing for one website will not be the same as another
    - Be constant in your efforts
    - Set up your videos for You Tube, Google search and related videos (use tags and keywords)
    - Quality of video not the most important factor (get them out if this is delaying you)
    - Brand everything - My videos are taken and put on other websites daily
and there is a lot more

    Cheers,
    Mukul
