Are you a vendor of an ebook?

I have my ebook ready to sell and I know sounds abit daft, but I really don't know what to do next. I have someone ready to put up a website for it.

Do I need to register the product at clickbank first of all because I guess the website person will need all the details of the payment page etc for clickbank?? is this right? If it is how long does it take for them to approve an ebook?

Thanks if you can point me in the right direction of how to set this thing up.

    Hi Moneyland
First of all well done on taking action and creating your own ebook It's a great feeling when you've got your own product ready to roll I wish you lots of success with it.

Secondly, and I'd like to make it clear that I'm not as experienced as lot of IM's, especially here on the Warrior Forum - but maybe I can give you a heads up on how to start and then other advice will surely follow. Just want to help others if and when I can

On promoting my first product - when I contacted Clickbank to register as a vendor - I had to pay a one-time fee of $40 (if I remember rightly) - not sure if that has changed at the present time. Any subsequent products that you want to put up on Clickbank won't cost anything. To get approval/response back from them took a while (@ 5 business days (I can't remember exactly) - but again that may have changed. They have to check out your sales page/ebook product. As it's your first product they will more than likely come back to you asking lots of questions and requesting different things for you to take action on. My advice (that I was given) for your first product is don't price it too high, as it's more likely to be declined. Not sure what how long your ebook is etc. but I was advised (for first product approval) to price it lower than $50 (say $47).

Another suggestion and a place that I've just come across where you could also promote your ebook and get affiliates on board is RapBank.com - (no I'm not an affiliate for them so I won't get any commission promoting their services I'm not sure personally how good they are (yet) - as I'm about to use them myself. However, I've heard great things about them and from the small bit of research that I've done so far one of the plus's is that I've noticed that affiliates are paid via paypal - instantly into their accounts so as it's a quick payment you may find that you get more affiliates promoting your product. I'm also led to believe that their approval process is a lot quicker than Clickbank so they could be a quicker starting point for you while you're waiting for approval from Clickbank. I've seen great reviews, so I will be using them soon myself so I'll send you a PM once my product is listed and give you feed back in case you're interested - unless you get there before me of course

Hope this gives a starting point. Wishing you lots of success.
    Carol

You have to sign up with Clickbank first to get your ID. Then you use the ID to make the payment link on your web page.

Here is the information about becoming a vendor at Clickbank.

        Get Started as a Vendor

Clickbank is good if you want affiliates to sell your product.

As mentioned, E-junkie is another excellent payment option that you can try for free. Google it and read the help pages - they provide very detailed information.

I think the fee is now $49 and all additional products for that account are allowed free of charge but to open an additional account will cost $29.

Haven't heard of RapBank.com before so I'm going to check them out also...thanks for the tip.

    Hey Moneyland,
Congratulations on creating your own product.
Remember to list the terms regarding
    personal rights, resell, giveaway etc.
You really need to make this clear or people will take advantage
    of your product.
Some may anyway but it's best to include something.
I am sure you have purchased other digital items and have something
    to go by.
You may know all of this already,
    good luck on your venture.
