E-mail possibly hacked??

hey guys,

I'm a bit confused about this but it appears that someone has been using my gmail to send viagra spam

I was made aware of this by one of my friends on yahoo messenger when he received a spam e-mail from my e-mail address.

I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone before. I logged into my gmail account and all seems fine. Looks like I'm going to have to change passwords to be on the safe side.

I clicked the link (shown in the image below) and it goes to a viagra site.

    Yes, it has. One of my IM friends had his G-Mail account hacked. Not only did they send out phishing e-mails (got me because it was my friend e-mailing me - went under my radar), the person also found all his site logins and hacked them.

    My advice: Don't wait to change your password. DO IT NOW!

    I changed my password already. I hope no harm was done. I just recovered from a javascript virus that hit all of my sites a couple months ago. Changing passwords and finding the security breach was a pain. *sigh * thanks for the warning /advice

      I had that happen to a hotmail account. Someone was able to log into my account and they set up my on vacation alert with a spam email. Every time someone sent me an email they got the ad as my reply.

      A colleague made me aware of the problem and I then changed my password to a more secure one. I haven't had problems since.

    Hmm. So it wasn't just some random problems. One of my friends recently sent me a few spam emails promoting viagra. This may be some crazy new tactic from the bad guys.
