Check Out Two of The Best Squeeze Pages On The Internet

Both of these are great examples of Squeeze pages that really jump out and grab attention.

I think that a lot can be learned from both of these pages.

Pay close attention to:

  1. The quality
  2. The simplicity
  3. The color
  4. The call to actions
For PPC purposes, squeeze pages like these may need a little more content. However, these are two of the best looking squeeze pages that I have ever seen.

And I am in the process of stealing every idea that I can from them... You should do the same.

Now when you click them, I think that you may only have one chance to see the squeeze page. In other words, if you exit the page and come back to it, you will end up on their actual sites. Which are both beautiful.

    Both very nice squeeze pages.

Also pay close attention to what you don't see on the pages:

    • Multi-million $$$$ off-line marketing campaign.
Now there's a way to drive traffic!

really awesome stuff, but I gotta say I like the Obama ones better. I am not saying this to have people vote for Obama being Polish, I don't really care, but I think it's just more memorable, although I gotta say that McCain's video is awesome as well... especially the look of sincerity on his face. love them both.

I don't care much for either one of their campaigns. However I like their marketing

Overall I like McCain's squeeze page more

Obama's actual blog might have McCain's beat though.

I would love to have the web designer that did their stuff to do a blog for me.

If anyone knows their web person... PM me with their info

Pretty good squeeze pages, but don't know if all the money that is driving people there is what makes them successful or they have been tested

no way of know if these squeeze pages are actually good, I guess you take them and test them then you know if they actually are good squeeze pages

I wonder how much those squeeze pages have been split tested...

Unless you know the conversion rate, and take into account the entire marketing campaign, then there isn't a great deal to learn.

Yeah they look nice but that doesn't mean much.

Where is the traffic coming from? How do they convert? Are they quality leads? That's the kind of info you need to know to make an informed decision as to whether they are "good" squeeze pages or not.

Both pages are "pretty", graphically speaking. I like the way McCain seems to be speaking to me as a viewer directly. I'm not sure if Obama's 'ethical bribe' would be effective on anyone but the already sold, though...

If all else were equal (which it obviously isn't), might this be the ultimate split test?

The operative phrase was "I think that a lot can be learned from both of these pages." I can not say factually that squeeze pages like these would convert well... that's why I didn't.

But the truth is that a great deal can be learned from them. Even if a new idea is inspired. Which was the case with me.

The truth is that from my experience, I have used similar looking squeeze pages, and I had great success with them.

We all know that all traffic from niche to niche is different. So, I'm not suggesting that testing wouldn't be necessary.

Also, the fact that they look nice does matter a great deal... It mattered to me. I'm sure others feel the same way as I did.

        • Where is the traffic coming from?

        • How do they convert?

        • Are they quality leads?
These are all obvious questions that most people would ask. I did not think that I had to mention that.

As far as making a good informed decision as to whether or not these are "good" squeeze pages. Well... I would go with my gut on this one. Why? Because sometimes, that's what you have to do.

A gut feeling is all any of us really have until we test anything.

If I was proven wrong, I would just revise and test something else.

In summation, these squeeze pages are awesome. And, if they are tweaked accordingly... they would do just fine.

But, that's what experience and my gut feeling tells me.

    Notes:

    1) They are short, easy to navigate sites. They don't hit you with everything at once.
    2) It is very clear on both sites that they want your name and email address above all else. Both know that list building is key.

  • I disagree.

Neither of them really have a strong call to action, nor do they have good incentives to join.

McCain's is much better with the video, but ultimately at a quick glance, neither offer me much as a subscriber, and "at a glance" benefits are EXACTLY what a good squeeze page is about.

    Clean? Yup.
    Simple? You betcha.

Two of the best squeeze pages on the internet? Far from it in my opinion.

I hear you... I also see where you are coming from.

I still think that something can be learned from them, as I always do with anything.

And, I have to agree with you about McCain's Squeeze page looking better.

I felt the exact same way.

Very nice squeeze pages but it has nothing to do with the content. You can have the most awesome website online but if you don't know how to bring in real traffic, you will not make it and will evantually FAIL.

    Here's an even better example:

    PickensPlan

One thing I hate about squeeze pages is that they usually don't give you any option - it's opt in or leave. Notice how this page strongly pitches the opt-in but gives another alternative to those who don't want to opt-in or those who have already subscribed.

      That is a great example...

Also, I agree with you. It sucks that so many squeeze pages only give you one option. Which is usually to opt-in.

I don't do very much list building. So most of my squeeze pages only have a call to action, which is usually in the form of a button, that takes visitors to the sales page.

Anyhow, the squeeze page that you showed me also gave me another idea... Thanks!

      Take care!
