duplicate content checker

What do you use to check for duplicate content.. as in if someone gives you an article and you wanted to check how original or unique it is.

I know of Copyscape but you need to have the article online to check. Is there a way I can just copy and paste it in a textbox to check the content?

What you could do is.... take a snippet of the article and run it through Google W/ Quotes around the phrase.

I just used DupeFree Pro for the first time yesterday, like it and simple to use. However this is the only progam I have tried so I am not an expert.

but if you are looking to see if stuff is a duplicate on what is out there on the net , then you need something like CoypScape

    Hi Vyless

I use a program called Content Composer. For Dupe checking.

It has quite a few features on it that will allow you spin an article many times for original content and has a great duplicate article checker - it's much better than many of the 'free' ones.

Check it out - it may provide what you need and more.

I don't know the price now I bought at least 18 months ago but it has stood the test of time and I use it when I do my articles.

    Good luck

    Peter

There's another one called Article Checker | Free Plagiarism Checker as well that's free.

Sometimes it helps to just put a search into Google as well. Try putting the end of a sentence and the beginning of another. Such as:

"into Google as well. Try putting the end of a "
I've had pretty good luck with this method.

But, for 5 cents a search Copyscape is definitely worthwhile.
