Default NEED SOME ADVICE ON WEBSITE AND COPYRIGHT

Hi Warriors

Just gone live with my first website. I'm very much a newbee and just learnt as I went along. (started from scratch in August)

Built it and wrote the copyright myself along with the two E-books I'm selling.

I know it doesn't look as polished as some sites, but I built it with site studio on hostgator, so it is very basic. Even then I got a lot of help from Sam Stephens from Dlguard.

Apart from the flaws that you fellow Warriors notice, the background pictures load first sometimes and i don't have a clue why.

I would appreicate any suggestion on ways to improve my site and copyright. Not to technical otherwise it will go straight over my head.

I'm starting with the article writing next to try and generate some business.

Thank you for your time in reading this post and any help you can give.

Cheers
John

Hello jmr2910,

I think that looks nice and fairly well polished, personally I don't think it needs the extra down the side (left & right ) just the blue background alone. However others may disagree with me, am only looking at it from a visual appeal. Of course this affects the speed of download time the number of graphics & photos on a site. Overall a nice site with pizazz.
Hope that helps.

Keren

Have a great day

Well off the cuff I would say the website has pleasing colors and not bad at all for a first attempt. You should have seen my earlier websites

I would spruce up the front page by adding some videos and putting in bullet point headers and sub headings like testimonials.

Would try to put up colored headings instead of black.

Create a sense of urgency near the pay by paypal button something like " I couldn't keep this price much longer" or something similar.

Article marketing is the way to go to build backlinks and traffic.

Cheers
Kulasekaran.

Hi Keren
Thank you for taking the time to look.

Did originally just have a coloured background, but came across some old coaching photos and thought I would throw them in to give it a feel of what I'm selling.

It did look a bit better because the text bit was thinner and you saw more of the photos. but I did something (don't know what) and the text bit expanded. Can't seem to shrink it again.

Thanks again
John

Hi Kulasekaran

Thanks for your advice and taking the time to look. I have made some changes. More sub headings and changed the colour of them.

Got rid of the black titles. As for the video swoooosh right over my head. It's not the making of the video I've seen fellow Warriors advertise them.

Its knowing where to paste the html, I could not even paste the Google analytic code in the right place.

Cheers
John

Hi
Have looked into video, which I think is a must today. But will have to wait until I am more educated on the matter.

Thanks anyway
