Can someone give me an honest opinion???

I have a portfolio of about 15 niche blog sites that I built for a friend of mine who never paid me for them upon completion. All of the blog sites are over 6 months and sitting on the front page of Google for their respective keyword rich domain name. I have no use for these sites because I'm not into niche marketing or Adsense so I'm looking to sell them.

I'm looking to sell all of the sites but I don't know what the sites will be worth individually or all together. Can someone give me an idea of what a niche site ranked on the first page Google could be worth. I did all of the proper research before building the sites and all of them have a high CPC and monthly search volume. I know there are more details needed to get a more accurate value, but I'm just looking to get an estimate value.

Thanks In Advance

It all depends on the niche. If the niche is mortgage refinancing, then you can grab a hefty price. If the niche is dustball collecting, then not so much.

Thanks for the reply. None of the sites are in the mortgage niche but they are all built around profitable niches. Can anyone give me an estimated dollar value?

You could sell them to somebody who is looking to purchase some old blogs, and doesnt want to put up with the hassle of creating new blogs etc.

Here are some sites you can try, especially the discussion ones, where you can ask and get a more realistic valuation for your blogs.

You would need to elaborate on niches or try list them on Flippa with traffic and other details

Its a bit like saying I have 5 high end sports cars but not disclosing the condition, millage, model, engine size - all of which would be needed to estimate value

Are they monetized at the moment? If they are your best bet is probably to stick them up on flippa and sell them on. If they aren't I'll do a deal with you and monetize them and then sell them for an agreed percentage!

On sites like flippa at the lower end sites typically sell for around 10 times monthly income, if they are not currently making any money you won't get more than around $100 for them.

My opinion is you shouldn't do any more work for that friend unless he pays in advance!

Seriously, I'm not a site flipper, but I know several people who earn their living at it. In addition to the niche, the price you can command also depends on how much traffic the sites are getting and whether or not they are currently creating an income.

I'd study Flippa to see what similar sites are selling for and price accordingly.

    Good luck!

    Hi

As already mentioned, it really would be difficult to provide a dollar figure with the limited information provided.

The business model I'm concentrating on at present is affiliate marketing via small niche sites. I'd be interested in finding out more about the websites you have. Could you pm more details? I don't have enough posts yet to pm back so could you include your contact email address in the pm if that's ok?

    thanks

    Ouch.

    CPC doesn't matter.

Monthly search volume (exact match) is important, but should be determined through your traffic stats and not what the keyword tools say.

    My honest opinion:

    1. If your sites are making money - aim for monthly earnings*8 or so.
    2. If you aren't making money yet - they are worthless (unless you're getting a lot of organic traffic).

If it's #2 then your best bet is to sca...ahem "trick" (dare I say it) some unsuspecting newbs into buying your sites for $45-$75 a pop. You don't have to look far for examples on how to sell them - this forum is full of people doing just that.

    Good luck!
