Question for Internet Oldtimers about Midi Music and Public Domain, etc.
What has happened to the .midi format? Midi files work well in Garage Band and I've just spent hours looking for some old favorites. There used to be some excellent sequencers out there, for example, Don Carrol, but his sites have vanished, and apparently he has too.
Also, I never see any copyright notices on most midi files, but most are on sites to be freely downloaded.
Can some one bring me up to date on the midi music scene and possible point me to some alternatives?
Does anyone even know what I'm talking about?
