Bait & Switch by some Vendors

Have you encountered this?

You'll promote a vendors product (i.e., through setting up a product page, driving traffic to it), etc, etc -- only to find the vendor later switch the commission to the bare minimum, or worse -- no comission at all? (I.e., different purchase link or payment provider altogether?)

What do you do about that? I.e., for example, myself -- I have some products that I have promoted that now I look at, and I see I am getting commmissions like "$1.00", or "$3.00", etc, just because some of these vendors get a bit greedy/shortsighted.

Unless you have some kind of formal contract between you and the vendor guaranteeing a fixed commission rate, there is not a whole lot you can do other than report them to their payments processor, then start producing your own products instead.

There is probably nothing you can do accept stop promoting it and watch out for this vendor in the future. Such short sightedness probably means they would be in business for to long anyway.
If you want revenge buy their product (I am assuming it's an ebook here) completely rewrite making improvements as you go and steal all the vendor customers.
Best still approach all the other dissatisfied affiliates and sign them up yourself.
