Why am I not seeing results

Hi Everyone

I really need some advice from the wariors-- I have had wordpress blog for about eight months - The Interview Handbook, and have spent most weeks adding content and writing articles to various sites, the best being 15 to EZN, they have have all been published, 2100 people have read them and about 10% have click through. My traffic is about 30 visitors per day all new.

It has been a real struggle to get any sales, I have linked back to the site and still no takers, its so frustrating, I am getting to the point were I feel like calling it a day! I really could do with some advice- I am not a quitter -- life is to short to give up --But I need some help and may be a kick up the arse!!

your blog is fairly decent, but it wouldn't hurt to update it and clean it up a bit.

for one, your permalinks should be set to CUSTOM > POSTNAME

also, as for as your sales go, the affiliate products you're promoting aren't that great. the stats for the Resume Help product are actually pretty horrible. And the sales page is definitely not gonna get you many sales.

the other product, the Amazing Resume Creator, the link to that site don't even work.

I'm not telling you this to be an asshole, but I think you'd be better going after a better niche. This niche doesn't have many buyers. And the affiliate products you have chosen to promote are set up in a way that will get you very many sales.

you'd be much better off putting the same amount of time and effort you have put into this site into a hotter niche and better selling products.

    hope that helps.

I think your niche is good. Your content is good. You are getting 30 visitors per day.

I wonder about the look and feel of the website. There is a lot of space and line spacing. I prefer a 3 column look as you can squeeze more links, feeds and info onto the first fold. This is very subjective - sorry about that.

When I arrived on your page I just didn't go wow. Maybe a change of theme would do it. I do not know your affiliate programs so cannot coment on them

    I'm not here to but heads with anybody but I feel good in saying this;
You can have the worlds worse product and make a ton of sales IF your site or sites have really good capture to them and have ALLOT of exsposure.
    It's always all about traffic!

Changing your permalink structure will help a lot as
    mentioned above.

I have three suggestions. Well one is a question first.

Have you submitted your rss feed to feedage.com and
    feedagg.com? If not you should.

Second, I don't see any type of optin form on your site.

You really should have something on there to encourage
people to optin to your list.

I see that you're using mybloglog but haven't had any
myblog users come to your site.

I would get out there and find other sites in your niche
and go to everyone of them so your mybloglog image
will show up on their site.

    It's always all about traffic!

while this is true, the products that he is selling is a proven non-seller on CB.

now yes, you can make sales even with shitty products, but the point I was driving at was why put all that time and effort into a product that is proven to be a hard sell when you can put the same amount of time and effort into a proven hot-selling niche/product?

Your CLICK HERE link for your resume software is broken.

    Is that your product?

Your blog is wishy-washy. I don't immediately perceive
    - 1. that you are an expert at helping people get better
    jobs and make MORE MONEY!

    2. that you have something to sell.

Your formatting is, to my eye, too tight, compressed and
hard to read. You seem more interested in writing a pretty
blog than in selling your fabulous, life changing product..

You are getting traffic but you have to tell the people WHAT
TO DO! Tell them to get the product. Tell them the product
    will solve all their problems!

ALSO - all the links I clicked on the right side are BROKEN!
That makes you look like you don't have any authority.
Don't put them there if you don't have content to put in
    them.

In the current climate, this could be a hotter niche than before. Many people are feeling uneasy about how safe their jobs are (and many have already lost jobs). Make sure you tell people the pain of loosing their job and then make sure that they see your links as the solution to their problem.

Are you worried about loosing your job ? Or have you already lost your job ? Make sure you are the best applicant when you attend an interview with (link to product)

Maybe it's me but I personally can't read text when it's just blocks like that.

Remove the justify on your body text, make the paragraphs shorter. Sprinkle some bold/italic/underlining in the text, have important sections stand out and make sure to do some deeplinking throughout your body text.

Have a CLEAR call to action on every post if you can and make the product you're promoting really stand out in the right side bar. You need to push the product a LOT harder and push those emotional buttons ppl have.

Mention the current state of economy and great a frenzy around it. Add in some news lines about it and make it sound URGENT ppl need to buy your product.

I agree the merchant product sucks ass. Rule of thumb, if it doesn't grab YOU within first 5 seconds, it's probably a dud. I'm sure you can find something better.

If not, you'll have to really make it sound spectacular. On a side note, do you own the product you're promoting? If not, you should get a copy so you know exactly what you're marketing (and whether its any good to begin with).

Next, either add in opt-in form or great a separate squeeze page somewhere else on your site and drive traffic there from your blog/ezine etc. But if you just want to have it combined on your blog, you just have to make sure it stands out and has a strong call to action to opt-in.

    Hope this helps

Just a question..are you driving traffic via ezinearticles and that is it? Why not up the ante, find some good interview "buy" words and ramp up the traffic organically?

30 visitors a day stinks man, especially in the market you are in. Some of your top competitors are getting 150k uniques a month. You should be getting at least 1,500 uniques a month. It is just a matter of Proper SEO for your site.

    For instance...

The article on the front page is "3 Tips to make your resume stand out"...that is the title tag. While it may work okay for drawing attention, it does nothing for your page's SEO.

What is your primary keyword for this page?

Regardless of how many folks on this forum admonish article marketing as the saving grace for marketers, organic search is the best route to get the most traffic and make the most money long term.
