Setting Up a Vendor Account with Clickbank, a Question

I know this is probably the easiest thing once you know how, but for a newbie like me it is daunting. I am reading their getting started stuff.

1. For starters they are asking usual sign up questions in relation to
- Where shall we send your checks?
- How can we contact you?
Is this private info as in name address, email etc only for CB or is any of it visable to the customer?

They only mention that your "account nickname" is visable to the customer.
The reason I am asking is that my ebook etc is all going under pen name due the gender in my niche so then it would look silly my personal name being visable.

Can anyone explain to me exactly what shows to the customer besides the nickname?

Many thanks

1 - Yes this is private information. ClickBank needs it to pay you, and money is a good thing!

2 - The nickname is the name you encode in your hoplinks that identifies you as the affiliate. It has to be unique, it does not have to be your real name or your company name. And yes, users will often see it in their address bar.

    Hope this helps

Thanks Bill. So I gather from your response that there will be "no visable" information to customers other than my "Nick Name" I am A VENDOR or will be. I guess I would still encode the Nick Name into my hoplink to identify sales I make as the vendor.

I hope I am making sense of this

The nickname is both an affiliate and vendor ID - although you are a vendor you are also automatically an affiliate as well. Actually in most cases the consumer never sees the name except at the payment link.

Hope that helps, and you are correct - I was thinking about the affiliate aspect of the nickname and not the vendor ones.
