Simple Article Submission Questions

Hi everyone. I have recently come to discover mass article submission and I'm kicking myself for not having found out about this sooner. I got over 800 articles in my site and I realized how silly I have been trying to advertise my site in other ways.

I did a search on the forums to try to find answers to a few questions but I couldn't really find any threads on "how to" or just the basics. I just want a basic understanding before I purchase an article submitter/spinner.

From the research I have done here is how I think it all works. Please correct/add to this

1. You spinn your own articles/or write an original article linking back to your domain, and mass submit it to directories to build backlinks to your site
2. If you want to do original articles you can do them on certain keywords and before submitting it you make sure the article is seo complaint to that keyword (i'm sure there's a better way to describe this)
3. In order not to get banned from google if you are spinning the article you have to give it a different name, make sure it's 75% unique

Is it really this easy or am I missing a whole bunch of stuff? Does anyone have any corrections for the list/tips? Also is my list accurate on how to not get banned?

If anyone does have links to threads with information that deal with the basics/strategies on article submission please let me know as I couldn't find them.

Also does anyone know an article spinner that works for spanish?

Sorry if these questions have been asked in the past

  • I'm going to make a recommendation about articles.

    Write articles for people.
    Write Quality.
Submit to Directories that are frequently crawled, read, and followed.

Mass submission means nothing and leaves a footprint.

I have a single article that gets me about 500 targeted visitors a week to a particular product. I wrote it about a year ago. That makes money. It's a small niche. I have hundreds of them. If I write an article that gets 4 people a month it's a total failure. I'd have to write 125 of those to get the same people. I'd rather write 1 and make it great, than 125.

How many would you rather write? And spinning is a pathetic joke. Nobody will read them, and it makes you look unprofessional.

You can write a million articles and submit to a million places... but what is the point if they don't make any money.

Quality and Targeting are the keys.

Fish in the pond that's stocked.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I do have a question in regards to what you said
Submit to Directories that are frequently crawled, read, and followed.
What are the top directories that you mention? I read somewhere that when it comes to the top 10 directories one should be extra careful with duplicate content and you are likely to get banned if the articles aren't unique (I know ezine is one of them).

I do have another question which has me a bit confused.

Someone in a thread recommended an ezine plugin for wordpress that automatically submits your blog posts to ezine.

I thought we weren't supposed to post the original articles from our sites to directories but only spinoffs that are unique. Where am I going wrong here? Does this mean that I can just copy/ paste and submit my blog articles to directories? (the original ones on my site) without changing a thing or would that be duplicate content?

How are you doing that? 500/week at a 10% CTR means you wrote an article that gets ~20,000 unique visitors a month. If you found some secret article writing gem you should create a 100 page blog and live like a millionaire.
