Is this partnership/joint venture worth me entering? Advice needed!

So I've been learning all about making money online for around 6 months now and have my own website complete with ebook for sale in my niche. I also run another website promoting affiliated products in my niche.

Anyway, I recently came across a website where the guy does joint ventures/partnerships with anyone who has a good idea and wants to set up a money-making website. I emailed him and he seems adamant that he can make me some good money.

As I'm quite new to internet marketing and I'm on limited funds, I could definitely benefit from his marketing expertise. I would provide content to my sites as I'm an expert in my field, and he would provide the marketing, in exchange for a percentage of the profits. It won't cost ME any money to get started but I'm worried that my idea could get stolen, I could get ripped off/not paid, or that he could dominate my niche with his marketing expertise and completely wipe me out.

Anyway here is the link, could you tell me if this seems legit and if it's worth it?...

Money Making Partnership for those who don't want to do all the work

He also buys websites...I buy websites sell me your website

I know he makes his sites with sitebuildit.com and monetizes them that we. He seems like a genuine guy but I want peoples' advice please. I have to email him back tomorrow and we're going to reach an agreement so it depends on the terms I guess.

Or should I just go it alone? I'm starting to understand internet marketing now thanks to these forums, but then again this guy could save me time....BUT I'd lose profit by having to share it with him so I'm confused about which road to take!

You are going to get ripped off.

No way to dance around it. When an expert and a noob team up, who do you think makes all the money?

    Use your common sense.

Have you researched the guy? Has anyone you know ever heard of him? Is there any scam complaints about the person?

His request for a piece of the pie doesn't sound outrageous (depending on the percent he takes), it would be like if you went to the JV section of this forum and found someone.

1)Find out all you can about him
2)Find out EXACTLY what he is going to do for you
3)Sign a NON-COMPETE so he can't enter your niche on his own or with anyone else

These are basics, this could work out in your favor since you are new, but on the other hand, what are you going to learn if you let someone else do all the work? You'll always need the person because you don't know what to do without him.

Well the profit ratio would be 70% to him, 30% to me according to the link I gave, though that is when he sets up a site with his own money, but given that I own my own 2 sites then I may be able to make it more of a 50/50 profit share.

The only thing I'm worried about is being ripped off, like if he takes control of the sites and the money, and I don't get paid properly (or at all!). Also, he lives in a van and permanently travels, he has no fixed address. Not that I have anything against this, I think it's great but it does mean he's effectively untraceable if anything goes wrong.

He lives under the radar and is undetectable by banks and the IRS...check this out on his other site This is Why the Big Boys Hate Me

However he seems like a really nice guy and if this genuinely works then it could help me get up and running faster. I don't know what to do.

You can't be serious. Abandon ship. Please tell me you're joking.

Of course he SEEMS like a nice guy. Con artists aren't going to seem like con artists are they? You need to use your common sense here.

Sorry to sound so harsh but geez, c'mon.

Ok, guess I was being a bit optimistic but the thing is I'm starting to understand online marketing myself now so I might not need this guy's help.
