Tips on Transforming My Blog

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my thread!

I am in the process of building a new blog and wanted to ask for some advice on what I am trying to do.

I am using wordpress and my own domain and host. I dont want my site to look like a blog, so I want to have a a typical looking website and if people want to read my blog, they can click on the link.

Is there a special way that I need to do this? I want to make sure that if I post something that it gets post under my blog page and not the home.

    In your WordPress Settings>Reading page set the start page to be a static page.

    You'll need to create the page first and then select it from the drop down menu.

    You then need to create an empty page called 'Blog' and select that page from the second drop down menu which asks you to select a Posts page. Then all your blog posts will be under a menu item called 'Blog'.
