Default Question about Getresponse and 'Confirmed' and 'Unconfirmed' Subscribers

I have a Free Account with Getresponse Autoresponder. I have had it for over a month and am going to Upgrade to Pro Edition this week.

How many of you guys who have Pro Edition with Getresponse, Aweber, or anyone else allow yourselves to send follow up Autoresponders to both 'confiormed' and 'unconfirmed 'Subscribers.

As you know Getresponse strongly recommends that you only put 'confirmed' subscribers on your follow up autoresponder list. Due to the fact of less complaints with Spam and maybe higher conversions.

But to me over half of all my Subscribers with my Free Account are 'unsubscribed'. In my opinion to ignore these people is like throwing money out the window. These people may have accidently erased the confirmation email or it got lost in their junk mail.
To just totally ignore them until they confirm (which they won't) is not prudent. Its worth it even if there is a possibility of compaints.

How do you guys handle this ??
Follow ups to ALL 'Confirmed' and 'Unconfirmed' . Or do you make sure they 'confirm' before follow ups ???

THNX !!

WOW, after 963 Posts here I decided to finally put a Signature. :)
I had to because after being in Internet Marketing for altogether over 10 years now, this is the easiest and most simple way to start out making FREE Money, IMMEDIATELY !

Default Re: Question about Getresponse and 'Confirmed' and 'Unconfirmed' Subscribers

I have the same problem myself.
I use Aweber and have quite a few "unverified" subscribers.

Aweber does not allow sending a second "confirm" request. But, I do have access to their email address.
But, if I email them and remind them to confirm unless they still have the original confirmation email they will have to re-subscribe with a different email address.

I may be able to delete them from Aweber and send them a request to confirm with a link to squeeze page.

What are you doing to help people confirm their subscriptions?

Are you giving away something for free but making sure people understand they will not get it unless they confirm?

If not you should.

Here's a good sequence of events for opt-ins:

- After they signup...

* Send them to a page that urges them to go and confirm their subscription right that very minute.

( aweber calls it the thankyou page )

* When they finally confirm, also send them to a page the tells them that their subscription is confirmed.

( aweber calls it the confirmation complete page )

Note: You can plug the/a product here - if you like.

My confirmation rate is over 95%.

You can observe my sequence and get a great report if you opt-in to receive my Mindset report below.
