Hi everyone,

I'm a complete novice to online marketing, and now do not know what direction to take.

What I do have is:
A website that has a google ranking of 6
A twitter account
A facebook account
Hubs on hubpages
A keyword that puts me on page 1 positon 7 of google
My main issue is that my traffic flow is now stagnating and does not seem to really increase.

Please help.

Many thanks,

Jon.

I'm not sure that I understood what you're asking but what do you enjoy working with the most? Or which path seems the most interesting?

    • Hi Jon

My first question to you, is what are you doing with the traffic that does reach the site? and what is your plan to monetize the traffic? Without this information it is quite difficult to give you the advice.

I look forward to your response.

      regards
      Andy

    Are you:

    - Posting 5-10 messages/day on Twitter, Facebook, all other social media sites (take a look at ping.fm...hint)?
    - Adding at least 50 targeted friends a day on each of the above platforms?
    - Writing at least 1 article per day and posting on EZA, buzzle, isnare, articlebase, goarticles, squidoo, hubpages, etc (I could list a thousand more...look at Incansoft ArticleBot...hint #2)?
    - Reformatting your article into videos and posting to YouTube, Flickr, Yahoo, etc (take a look at TubeMogul...hint #3)?
    - Reformatting articles into podcasts and posting to iTunes?
    - Reformatting articles into Pdf's and posting to scribd?
    - Taking part as an active member in multiple forums in your niche?
    - Being a contributing member of niche specific blogs?
    - Writing press releases about your niche and submitting to not only online PR sites, but also contacting your local newspaper and radio shows about it?
    - Backlinking your articles for keywords that actually get traffic?
    - Contacting noncompeting internet marketers in your niche about joining forces and sharing resources?
    - using free vouchers for PPC advertisement to get that started (once you learn this you never will have a problem with traffic again)?
    - entering your articles into blog carnivals?

Do the above everyday for 30 days and I promise you will have lots of traffic coming in. After the first week, the above will take you no more then 4 hours.

Fantastic breakdown, the only thing I would add is are you doing anything with the traffic being generated right now? If not, it doesn't matter how much additional traffic you create for your website.

While implementing what Travis outlines above I would also make sure to focus on monetizing the traffic you are currently receiving to the website.

Okay, seems like you've got traffic and from a good source. Good thing.

You know how to do what it did ... and it brought traffic (and probably sales?). Just repeat it over with more keywords and your traffic will increase.

Or, increase the channels of your traffic i.e. with the free traffic you're getting from G, maybe run an adwords campaign, get traffic from Facebook, Twitter, article marketing, etc.

    Best of luck!

Having a PR6 is very great. I'm very envy for you. What are you doing to get that kind of rank? Sorry for being a noob. I'm just curious... is it because your micro niche? or could it be considered as micro niche?

Apart from the website being very SEO friendly I guess it may be considered as a micro niche..........I was quite amazed that it had a PR6 so soon.

Travis was straight to the point! But also, you can "buy traffic" , let's say 10,000 visitors for 15$,also you can buy targeted traffic but for a bigger price!

Also, you can ask a reputable SEO company, to take your site on the first results on Google,Yahoo,Msn ..etc,for some hot keywords on your niche!
