You will find a lot of writers on websites such as freelancer.com, guru.com and elance.com, I think that many of them are from the Philippiness and India.

Why are specifically wanting someone in the Phillipines? There are lots of good writers located all over the world. You can find them here in the Warriors for Hire forum, as well as Elance and Get a Freelancer.

Good luck finding a good outsourcer, period. I've been through I don't know how many. The more they write worse their articles get....I've found that its easier to buy PLR and just change it up myself. Takes a lot more time but, then again, I end up paying someone to spin articles then I have to go back and re-do them myself.

      BINGO.

Honestly, why anybody would pay $2-3 for a crap article when you can get 50-100 PLR articles for that much on tradebit (or less) is beyond me. It is a little more time, but if nothing else, you could outsource having the articles spun. You might still have to touch them up, but at least you know you're starting off w/something decent in the first place.

Why the Philippines? Are you looking for $2 articles? If so, take a look at some of the other threads on here where those $2 articles cost alot more in lost time and frustration.

If you need well-researched, quality articles, I can help you. Click the link in my sig for more information

I won't buy $2 article for sure. And I would rather pay slightly higher to buy quality PLR reports or articles.

Check out PLR products provided by Nicole Dean or Jimmy D. Brown. Really good quality.

Good choice Gina. I think Philippines is one of the great outsourcing providers nowadays. I can recommend a company who's been operating this kind of business for almost 6 years now. Just message me for information.

Thanks for all of your input. I just don't have the time to write my articles anymore and need some help to do so. PLR is a great idea, I'll look into that if I decide not to outsource. Is there a good PLR site anyone could recommend?

I second Odesk.com. There are other places you can get writers fairly cheap other than sites like that though. One of the best places I've found is the local college.

Most of them will write 4-5 articles for you if you pay for their beer for the night. You get 4-5 articles written by an English writer and it only costs you 12.00 of so. Maybe 15.00 if they want Coronas

There is nothing wrong with hiring writers from the Philippines. I don't understand why people are saying that you get poor quality.

The problem is you hired the wrong person. A person isn't good at writing but is trying to make money online by offering their services.

The fact is you get crap writers from the US and UK too. For good, experienced writers you need to pay more which is unaffordable for a lot of marketers.

What you need to do is check out the freelancing websites and TEST the cheap writers in the Philippines or India.

Even when you hire a staff, you're bound to screen at least 9 poor candidates who can't do the job properly, until you find one that matches your requirements.

I can tell you that there are some very good writers in the Philippines. You just need to spend time and find them. And when you do find them, stay in regular contact or hire them permanently.

Remarks such as writers from Philippines suck should be ignored. Same applies to the "if you don't do well in college, you won't get far in life."

Just spend time hiring a cheap writer until you find a good one.

Your absolutely right that there are some really good writers over there. Most people just don't have the patients to go through a bunch before they find one that is good.

I would like to know, how you judge a good article writer? And Where can I find a average or good writer?

Agreed, but even then they will often miss mannerisms that native English writers take for granted. At least to me it always seems a little off beat, even if it is every couple sentences.

To judge a good writer I suppose one needs to write themselves?

Some tips I would provide though include:

      1. How is the article formatted? Does it look like the writer took the time to present the ideas coherently? Or did they just write whatever came to mind?
      2. Do they use the same words over and over again?
      3. Is the article progressing through the subject, informing you and teaching you something new?
      4. Are there paragraphs restating the same point but worded differently?
      5. Grammar.
Just a few points to catch 'bad' (subjectively) writers.

      -Konstantin.

Yup, you just need to have a proper process in place to weed out crap. I went through 50+ applications, interviewed quite a few and settled with one writer. And she is amazing. So, to say that you can't get someone for cheap in Philippines, is, IMO, wrong.

You can get someone, you just need to spend some time going through some applications and give them proper tests, and training, etc.

    Best of luck!

      You got it!

As well as writers, the Philippines also have talented people who can create videos, do voice overs and even post classified ads for you.

I'm not Filipino by the way, nor do I sell outsourcing as a service. I just want to help others who think it's impossible to hire a cheap writer because it isn't.

I hired a girl from Philippines through Odesk. She did pretty great job. Make yourself clear before you hire and send your assignment.

What I did was I posted my job description on Odesk.com, got them to contact me on Skype so that I could interview them one by one. Then I chose the best out of them.

If you are afraid of hiring a wrong person the first time, then try not to send too much jobs to that person in the first assignment.

I have a little writing service in the Philippines & overall I'm very happy with the writing, but it has taken me a long time to find the right people. The best writers are older and don't really know their way around the sites. I find them by word of mouth normally.

Here are some sites that you visit so you can take a look:
    1) Find a real, online job! | Home - You may look at the prefound workers. They have been given some sort of test to prove their skills in writing.
    2) Hire Filipinos - Find Online Workers in the Philippines | EasyOutsource
    3) elance
    4) odesk.com
    5) Fiverr - there are a lot of people that would want to write articles for you.

Good luck and I hope you could get the right person for your business.
Just a suggestion - go for a trial before you hire the person so you can be assured of their skills. Maybe let them write a sample of a given topic even just 1 paragraph - do it on the spot..

maybe offer a chat interview and give the person 10-15 minutes to write 1 or 2 paragraphs of a given topic to check the writing and english skills.

Then after which, Offer a 2 week trial period to test the worker. If you think the person is right for you then, go and hire the person for a long term.

    Hope this helps.

I think the sites mentioned above will give you a wide selection to choose from.

A lot of people outsource to the Philippines for projects such as the one you mentioned.

Yes, English is not our primary language (yes I'm from the Philippines) but we do speak it and write it too.

Of course there are varying degrees of expertise so you do need to look out for those variances.

Does it mean you will get crappy articles from the ones you eventually hire?

No, not necessarily. Remember that since you are outsourcing it's pretty
much like playing Russian Roulette - you never know if you will get a good one or not.

If you're lucky you will get one that's a keeper right off the bat. That's good and I would recommend you keep them for the long term as many have done once they have found the one that works well for them.

But, as many have experienced, you may wind up going through many before finding one.

When you are trying one out I recommend putting down what exactly you expect from them and when you expect it.

Give as much detail as you can.

This is because things can get lost in translation. Please understand that we're still translating it from English to our own language or dialect so some terms may not translate well or the meaning may not be what you mean.

And our reply to you goes from our language or dialect to English so again, translation issues will arise.

You will get those people who will start work and then will simply disappear, never to be heard from again.

It happens and let me say that these people are not indicative of the whole population. Most of the people who do outsourced work are really dedicated and want to do a good job so they can get more clients.

The ones that disappear are those who think that this job is easy-money and think they can do it, only to find out that they can't.

That's why don't give them big projects yet when you're still trying them out. That way should they abscond with the work, you won't be burned as much.

Also, do not be that alarmed if there is a delay in their reply to you. Unfortunately, real life in the Philippines can leave much to be desired.

Right now power outages are a norm, and so is water shortages and internet connection problems - typical issues of developing countries.

So good luck in searching for article writers and hope it works well for you.

      Regards,

    Here is a tip to get the highest quality content written by ghost writers for free;

    • Pay to get a top quality writer to create your articles
    • Submit and syndicate your articles to your website and all the article directories, and do whatever else you need them for
    • Wait a couple of months then license those articles out as PLR recovering your costs to have them written and make a bit of profit off them as well.

Quality content is king, there is no reason to cheap out on this. If you look in the Warriors for hire section there are plenty of high quality content writers who will offer you a good deal.

The other reason to hire good content writers is so you maximize the possibility of your content being picked up content blog owners, increasing your exposure, something which will not happen if you take the cheap route.

    Respectfully
    Chris
