What factors influence a site's trustworthiness score?

    Are you referring to Google and "trust rank"?
    One thing we know is domain history. If a domain doesn't even come up for the domain name in a search (and it is old), that is one factor that Matt Cutts has mentioned. He also alluded to "spam techniques". There is probably some reason to believe they keep a history of problems they have encountered.

      Actually I'm not sure of the source of the score. It shows up along with some other rankings in a Chrome extension called "Ultimate Chrome Flag." For whatever site you're on, it shows the country flag, page rank, Alexa rank, an "Trust Worthiness," which seems to be on a scale of 1-100.
      One of my sites (url = 2 years old) shows a "0" for Trust Worthiness, and another (10 year old url) one shows a Trust Worthiness of 77. The only site that has ever been flagged by Google (someone hacked it and put iframe redirects to a known "bad" site) was the latter. The newer one has never had a problem at all.

      Thoughts?
