How do you use Twitter to drive traffic? Ive had a look at it and i dont really get the concept  |

Ive had a look. many people just say how good it is and stuff. but when you login to twitter. there isnt much there. it seems like a very basic tool....

I'm just getting started with Twitter, myself, but I think that at least part of it is that it forms a channel of communication, similar to email marketing. People, for a variety of reasons, choose to "follow you." This is analogous to them signing up for your newsletter. When you post a tweet (I think that's what it's called) to Twitter, the message goes out to all who are following you. No guarantee that they'll do anything with it. They may even choose to stop following you. But they get your message until they stop following (unsubscribe). So you can send out messages - like: I just uploaded my ebook hxxp://yoururlgoeshere.com,and may well drive some traffic there. I guess that's very basic. I'm guessing there are advanced Twitter techniques (outsourcing, etc.) too. Regards, Bal |

Google search this site:warriorforum.com twitter Also - I am selling a website I built, and posted it as my "status" on facebook. Similar concept... I had several immediate responses. The trick to social networking is to build up relationships and only occasionally send out subtle marketing notes. Free reports or resources are good, with an occasional squeeze page. |
