Directory Submissions - Multiple Accounts?

Hello,

I searched and found out that Directory submission is normally only done with your top level domain, not each page separately. I guess there are a few Directories that allow deep links.

Now with Social Bookmarking you can bookmark both your top level domain AND each article. And some people recommend doing this using multiple accounts.

With Directory submitting is there any benefit, or is it even possible, to submit the top level domain to directories using multiple accounts?

    I don't see any reason to use multiple accounts, but if you are submitting to a lot of directories where you need to provide your email address, it might be good to use an email just for this purpose, not your primary email. There are quite a few directories now that offer deep links. Another interesting development is your ability to link to your social networking accounts where you bookmarked some of those deep pages. Socialrific is an example of this type of directory.

    You might want to check out Jeff Johnson's traffic blog -- I think it's Jeff Johnson Underground Training Lab. He seems to be an advocate of using multiple accounts but making sure you submit on separate days. I've heard that from other IMers too.

    I think if you are submitting multiple sites to the same directory this might make sense. Sometimes directories will ban IP addresses or email addresses if they are hitting them too hard with submissions. I don't see any benefit to use multiple accounts unless you are also using different IP addresses as well.
