Automatically Personalise Video

It started off bad ... and I am not interested in what they have to offer ... but they personalised a video with my information (and it seemed this was pretty much "on the fly") ... and THAT has got me interested. How do they do that?

OK, so I received an email from an associate about myworldplus (it did not mention their name i the email I received) and I followed the link ... as soon as I saw the sales page I closed it. But then I receievd an email (very quickly) from myworldplus telling me to watch a video ... I was about to delete the email when I saw that it said in the email that the video mentions my name several times. That had me intrigued.

So, I followed the link to watch the video and sure enough my name, my phone number (incorrect) and my email address were all mentioned in the video. So, my questions for Warrior Forum members are ...

(1) How did they do that?

(2) What software did they use to do it?

The idea of 'personalising' video in this way has got me quite excited. but I have not been able to find anything in my search of the web, and so I humbly prostate myself before the collective wisdom of this forum's members. ;-)

Can you send me the link? I may be able to provide you with an answer if I can verify the settings on their video player...

What format was the video in? AVI? SWF?

Either way, it's fairly easily done. You can use programs such as ffmeg to automatically modify AVI videos. Plus there's things such as PHP_SWF to modify & create SWF videos.

If you wanted the same, put a project on eLance for it, or a site like that.
