Home Page to Sales Page OR Sales Page First?

Hey everyone.

I need a little help finishing a project of my own.

I am currently writing a sales page for my Sticky PLR - Quality PLR at Affordable Prices website.

If you visit the website, you will see my predicament I am unsure whether to make the whole sales page visible from the home page, or to break it down in to two steps.

The two steps being land on the home page, then in the box where the quit smoking eBook is write some sales copy (small amount) then link to read more or join now which will take them to the sales page.

I would like to know other people's opinions.

Thanks

    HI mate,

I'd go for the two step approach - It seems a bit easier on the eyes and also seems a more simple approach.

Have to keep everything online "viewer friendly"!

    Hope this helps

(p.s. website looks polished mate - well done)

      A heads up...

When I visited your site in IE7, it popped up its "Suspicious - could be a phishing website" warning.

There must be something in your content that's causing it.

      Hope it helps.

      Cheers,

Huh really? Hmm OK. I will check it out, although I am not sure what it could be.

Thanks for the heads up too, really appreciate it.

I think the two steps is a good idea.

And I LOVE your site. If you don't mind my asking, Did you have that custom made or is it a stock template? I want one!

Thanks Lee. I had it custom made, and it wasn't easy ^^ it's a work-in-progress.

I am very glad people are leaning towards the two-step idea, I think I shall split-test both ideas but I am hoping the two-step idea converts better.

Well, I think it's pretty much perfect for selling PLR! Looks like you're going to have some nice quality products on there too.

Very nice site willyboy. Clean, easy to read.

I second the 2 step idea. Make the experience as visibly appealing as possible, especially when you have such a nice site to lead them in to the sales page.

Definitely the 2 step. Your site is set up very well to get users attention then allow them to choose to purchase OR opt-in should they choose.

The only thing I may suggest is to somehow move the opt-in section up or somehow make it more visible. Not to overpower the page, but if they don't purchase you for sure want the visitor to get on your list.

Yeah this was one of my concerns, the way I am going to overcome this is either by adding a pop-up opt in which pops up once and once only OR to add an exit pop-up but the only concern I have with these is that people get very annoyed with them.

However my thinking is, if I make the offer valuable and over-deliver then the majority of people will of been happy in having it pop-up in their face.

        Thanks everyone for your replies.

Try a $1 trial as your exit stop. $1 7 day trial and Squeeze them before the sale.

See the "report" link in the box, click it and tell them you're the webmaster. In a few days they'll hopefully contact you after reviewing the site.

Thanks but how do I do that if I don't get the box coming up in the first place :/

I'm currently experimenting with the whole sales page in your face thing. Results are mixed. I'm fast going off the idea.

    Love the graphics!

FYI I'm not having any 'phishing' warnings using Chrome, Firefox or IE!

Yeah it is definitely something that I will need to split-test either way, but I do prefer the sounds of potential customers having to click through to the sales page.

Very glad you like the graphics

Yeah I've never had the phishing come up on any computers, and I've tried it on at least 10 different computers, in several different countries on several different browsers ^^

      Still annoying...

      Thanks anyways Caiden
