Does anyone use Easy Video Player?

I have a web page with a EVP video on it which is above the fold.

When my page loads in my browser it hangs slightly (about 1 second) when it gets to the part where my video is.

Does anyone know how I can get around this?

    Do you know if it is browser specific?

    Is the video autoplay or click to play?

    Is there any buffering enabled?

    We are not using Easy Video Player, but use a lot of video.

    We are now mainly using Flowplayer for our players.

      same for all browsers
      video is click to play
      buffering is enabled
      i also have a start frame image

      what's Flowplayer? any good and I assume it interfaces with Amazon S3 ?

      That's funny you say that. I use EVP and all my videos have the flowplayer logo in the bottom left as it is loading.

        Not sure I understand the issue without seeing the page - but I've had no issues with the program myself - so I'm guessing you may want to try uploading the video again.

    Just checked it out, yes, this is the same player many of my friends are using.

    A couple own a video studio and this is what they are using, and I haven't heard the problems you are describing.

    The underlying technology is Flowplayer and JQuery. You can check out Flowplayer.org.

    Is there any other javascript code running on the page that could be affecting it?

    Can you send me a PM of the page and see if I experience the issue as well?

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for the link. I didn't notice the delay on my side, but I am on a hyperfast fiber link. The background was blank for a second while your popup was tucked away, and then the rest of the page loaded all at once for me.
