Direction for a beginner.

Hi

I have been dabbling with various elements of internet marketing over the past year including affiliate products via adwords etc I went through the Tycoon Cashflow course sometime ago and although I learnt some basics I feel now I need a course to follow that I can start to see some small results, so I have something to build on.

Ideally I want to follow separate courses for building traffic, list building and SEO.

What courses would you recommend? I dont mind paying but nothing too expensive as I'm on a budget. Every time I look for courses its information overload and hard to distinguish which ones have a good reputation.

Cheers!

Look up the 30DC. This is a great free course to start. They give access to software and programs with a free trial. Thirty day challenge is 30DC.

This is a really great recommendation. I can't say I've done it myself, but Ed Dale is a legend and the concept is fantastic for beginners.

I believe that the 30DC started a couple of days ago, but that's OK as you can start anytime.

In case you can not find it under 30DC, for this year its been renamed as Challenge 2010.

I'd recommend Chris Farrells site, because it's an epic hub of video and articles about web design, all aimed at beginners, and it leads you through it step by step.

When you've finished your first video course, you should have a working setup, a squeeze page offering a free ebook, newsletter and video course on web design. He explains how to setup the autoresponder list builders, everything you need to leave it on auto-pilot and go to another major section of the site on getting traffic.

I've got a review of Chris Farrell's site on my blog below.

I too recommend Chris Farrell's site. He definitely KNOWS how to take a completely newcomer and coach them to online success - step-by-step.

There is a reason he is voted the #1 service at IMReportCard.com.

        Hi

I would agree with everyone on here who has recommended Ed Dale's Challenge 2010. It is very good for the beginner and someone with some experience. I am doing it this year for the first time and have managed to get through some of my "blocks" (like "I can't find a niche" and so on) so am getting somewhere with IM now. And it's good that you can do it at your own pace.

The Market Samurai software is awesome, the best I've come across in terms of functionality to find niches and do many other things in 4+ yrs of dabbling in IM, so if you can purchase it at the special price, do so, it's the best programme you will have to find and work on your niches.

My plan to see my £1 was:

          1. Michael Nguyen's WSO on amazon affiliate

          2. Read a lot of Dan Brock's useful post

          3. Used RSSBot, DirectoryBot and SocialBot to build backlinks (got these on offer)

          4. Subscribed to Angela's backlinks

          5. More visitors = ££££

          Hope this helps.
